It seems to me that they are doing more for gamers now than they have ever did with the 360 though.
The specs are decent enough to handle any game, it has blu ray, 300,000 servers to act as dedicated servers, a good amount of exclusives and more invested into games than any other company.
Certainly the console has changed it's target audience and are offering a bunch of features that won't appeal to the typical gamer found on this type of site. But ...
I actually prefer consoles myself believe it or not. Just being annoying because of my dissapointed in the next gen consoles.
But yes, the new architecture of PS4 and Xbox one (Both the same) will resemble the PC more and result in excellent games with better use of Ram and lighting and such.
Hopefully it means that most games are better ported or ported from PC and we see less differences or glitches from the process.
I said the next gen consoles hardware is not as good as my old PC not the software..
Every game feels like next gen compared to console. The graphics, the controls, the mods and heck, the fact that all my multiplayer games can have more than 12 a side..
But alas, I actually prefer consoles believe it or not. I just felt like annoying some people because I know they hate PC gamers. I use my PC for RTS games, indie games and not much else.
My PC takes maybe fifteen seconds to start and the loading screens are a lot shorter than they are on console. Stop trying to use an old desktop computer to play games maybe?
My PC cost £500, 5 years ago and still has better specs than these next generation consoles.. The price is a cop out by people who know nothing about PC games.

You mean match high costs with a lack of functionality? By that definition then yes. PC gaming can never match how useless, costly and overrated the consoles are.

I remember seeing that. That if you buy a used game, there will be no fee but if you borrow a games friend and decide to install it to your console to play whenever, you need to pay the fee which will equal the price of the game.
Not sure if that is the way it works but I remember seeing it in one of the articles after the reveal.
Damn right it is. Too many developers forget that Gameplay and innovation comes before Graphics. Refreshing to see a company that hasn't lost sight of things.
Debatable, If all this noise was made against the DRM and used game policy then yes, it's justified and good that people are complaining this much. Microsoft need to hear this so they know when they are crossing the line and it seems Sony have reconsidered their own policy because of this backlash.
But when you have numbskulls complain about the good parts of the console simply because they are spiteful or fanboys of another brand then it becomes a problem.
I still don't. Sony revealed a controller and played a few games on a PC..
Both unveils sucked but it's fun to see the fanboys sit and claim that the competitors sucked more or the brand they like didn't suck at all.
It's lazy because there is no effort going into the game anymore. The map development seems to have taken the largest hit and the multiplayer is completely broken.
CoD used to be fun to play alone and just to relax but MW3 was one of the worst games I have ever played and Black Ops 2 was not much better.

Everything about the game just sucks now and reeks of lazy development and flat out thievery. The maps are shit now and no thought goes into them. Usually I don't agree with boycotts but after seeing that reveal for Ghosts, people should really show this company that it is not okay to put zero effort into making a game, flat out lying about it being next gen and practically stealing money from consumers.
The graphics were only slightly better and it seems the gameplay looks to be identical..
I love a good RPG but very little appeal to me of late. I would like a good ol fashioned Turn Based RPG.
Heck, ditch the voice acting if need be, I haven't enjoyed that many RPG's of late.
Does it matter? I never look at my consoles unless I am sticking a disc in or turning it off.
The specs and features look great. All that matters.
It's not the numerical figure, it's the word "One" as per the Logo "All-in-One" It makes sense. People are just far too stupid to understand it.

I must say that at least Sony are trying to bring backwards compatibility to PS4 in some way or form. Suppose to be able to stream PS1, PS2 and PS3 games through cloud however I hear you have to pay for those games again which sucks.
Hopefully Microsoft can maybe look into doing that for Xbox one. I wish people would at least mention that to have backwards compatibility in Xbox one and PS4 would limited the quality of our next gen games which is not a fair trade off.
