I know I shouldn't reply to keyboard warriors who bash on the keyboard with their face before attempting to think first but... It was there in the original policy... That is day one.
The Family sharing plan wouldn't have benefited them financially either yet it too was day one.
Hate on Microsoft all you want, especially if they deserve it, there is plenty of stuff you can complain about that is fair. But it's really ins...
It was there in the original policy and they said they would still consider it when they announced the reversal. We are not only hearing about it now. It's months old.
Sold!
Time to reinstall Outlast and wait for this glorious DLC!
ID@Xbox has been in the works for two years, Sony's policy has been known for 5 months..
Sony's policies are certainly encouraging Microsoft to put more of a focus on it but I think saying it's a direct reaction is like saying Trophies are directly because of 360.
I don't agree with Timed Exclusives unless Microsoft or Sony pay the development team to make the DLC which is never the case.
I don't see it as giving your user base more, it's more like paying so the user base of the competitor has to wait for content that is ready. And on that note, I don't think anybody is willing to change consoles just to avoid waiting a few months for content.
It's cheap and it shouldn't be allowed.
But... Sony doesn't pay for timed exclusive deals. The guys on the internet say so..
Just reading the comments, it seems nobody ever reads articles. They have never said about bringing back DRM, it's always been about the Family sharing, gifting, sharing, trading and reselling of digital content.
They said this so many times since the reversal of the original policy and EVERYBODY stands up to start talking about how it's going to come with DRM.
People need to read and think before they start typing and forming opinions because it...
Everytime there is some sort of bad news for PS4, there is always somebody like yourself who claim the Xbox fanboys will go to town with it.
I have yet to see Xbox fanboys go to town on any negative news like I am seeing the Playstation guys do with all news, negative or not.
Do you know what I see here? All Playstation fans, most of which are saying it's good because it will give it time to improve.
Reverse it.. Say this was Forza.. H...
I don't think you can take the high ground on maturity when you are criticizing a corporation for not being a non profit organisation nor do I think it's comparable to link bad grammar invalidating an opinion to somebody childishly putting dollar signs in the name just because they won't provide a service for free.
Editing in the Dollar sign afterwards does not make it seem less childish, that is like saying "Xbox Done" and "Indiestation" are ...
I can't take anything seriously from a person who uses the dollar sign in Microsoft. I immediately write it off as some dribble from a fanboy.
It's like the people who use horrible uncreative insults like Shitbox and Gaystation. Why anyone takes these people seriously, I will never understand. Unfortunately a lot of people seem to speak this way on this site lately.
I've been reading this thread myself and have yet to see any playstation fans comment anything logical other than the usual hate filled garbage.
Alpha Omega Sin is an idiot with no life and knows little to nothing about what he is talking about.
How is disliking a Toys R Us video about a christmas wishlist fighting for gamers? Despite your delusion that Xbox is anti consumer, you might want to check into Sony patenting technology to block used games. Ne...
That might be because Xbox One isn't out...
It's the same on most Xbox videos on Youtube, I don't really know how the guys doing it don't realise just so petty they are really being and why they take "What toy they prefer" to be so serious as to attack videos, articles and people so much.
I find it incredible funny that these PS4 fans seem to love hating Microsoft and Xbox more than they like liking the Playstation. Great community, glad I only use it for exclusives, they are giving themselves a ...
Been loving this game. It's an absolute blast! Had to go to a mates to play Last of Us. Might buy a new PS3 again just to play this game at home.
Oh God Yes! I love this game!
For me, it's not about the lack of changes, I know what CoD is and I can appreciate it for exactly that. A arcade style fast paced shooter. For me, it's that all the changes they do make, are god awful and terrible.
The map design seems to have hit rock bottom, every map is now what seems like a small maze with three or four ways to go. No longer do we have long range areas for snipers, mid range for assault rifle users and close ranged areas for SMGs and the gamepla...
Or the guy who told us to get a second job to pay for our PS3s?
This is a fantastic example of Shuhei Yoshida putting those to shame who get violent over what toy they like more. I wish everyone in PR was like this guy.
And they were idiots to do so. Fanboys are close minded and anti progression. Preferring to protect their pride and ego from imagined attacks rather than speak out about awesome features a competitor has that they want.
These people are idiots. No matter what company you follow.
It's called good PR. Sony have smart to capitalize on Microsoft's blunders and the current mentality of the majority of consumers.
They patented technology to block used games being played on their systems yet capitalized with good PR at E3 to make gamers think they care about gamers.
They are just doing the same thing here.
@theBAWSE
Thanks for proving my point that you don't think before typing. Not sure if you just didn't do your research or are lying through your teeth but you come off as a fanboy either way.
The original policy allowed you to transfer the license of a game but only the once. While not that great, it was still gifting.
The Family Sharing Plan allowed ten people to play ten of your games. The full games.. As long as nobody else was p...
