Matthew Fox is actually the perfect role for it and the article nails it down right the first time around. Purcell would probably be best as a sidekick or something...he lacks the intelligence to be a Commander.

And Tatum? Man, that kid needs to go back to acting school or something. He acts like he walked out of a Jay-Z concert and magically thought he was cool. Heck, he couldn't act his way out of a green screen.

finished the game and unlocked all the sex scenes that fast? Wow.

They're just getting greedier as people have to cut spending costs in their own homes.

Piracy has been a consistent factor within digital consumption since the introduction of 14.4kbps modems (it was painful but digital piracy was still moderately possible).

The biggest problem media industries face today is their lack of innovation to adapt to the changing times. A perfect example of a company who has adopted the shift in digital interactivity is Valve...I may...

Just like flOw it really defined a new way to play games without feeling the stress of trying to "conquer" it.

The PS2's shovelware was offset with amazing (and consistent) outings that included God of War, Grand Theft Auto, Katamari, Shadow of the Colossus, Tekken 5, Pride, Smackdown Vs Raw and Gran Turismo (to name oh so few), while the SNES had Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IV, V and VI, Tales of Phantasia, Mario Kart, Super Mario World, the Dragon Quest games, Demon Quest, Uniracer and too many more worth naming.

I think Bioware has done a great job with their anti-hero personas. It would be really interesting if they made a modern-day RPG, though.

is the real f'n deal.

It's almost worth a monthly subscription. The FPS mechanics are better than expected but the melee could still use some fine tuning.

It's odd that our culture has turned into "Make as much money as possible using electronics"...former Prez George W. even made a speech about utilizing more "math and sciences" in the classroom and now kids are indulged in it just like our money-crazed society promotes, and it's now viewed as a bad thing.

Realistically, people tend to promote anti-cultural activities at the expense of alienating each other, and yet a great majority of the adults you mentione...

Makes you think a little bit about pricing versus freemium (cash shop) models.

It still feels like a genre that's still trying to find its niche among gamers willing to pay monthly and gamers willing to pay for good items.

anything that consists of a lot of players on a single server sort of falls into the "MMO" category these days. If you type in "MMOFPS" games like Combat Arms and A.V.A usually pop up.

The only game that's an actual MMOFPS (and playable) is Fallen Earth.

I guess Nintendo can gloat now. They just owned up on one of the best selling games in history with another casual crusader.

It's not that people complain too often about drastic change where change is needed. A Max Payne 3 is a well-welcomed addition to a lot of stale franchises out there, but did it really have to be at the cost of losing everything that made the series original in the first place?

When I first seen Max for MP3 -- like the other poster mentioned -- Die Hard came to mind and Splinter Cell: Double Agent.

The whole Brazil thing seems way off from the noir settings of th...

Look bad either...for a Wii game.

If Activision complained about breaking records and having a game pirated as much as MW2, it would just be retarded. They made their money, Infinity Ward gets to go on vacation; there's no reason to complain.

In-game hackers will exist whether people pirate a game or not. Anyone remember Halo 2 on the original Xbox?

Places like Kotaku and sheep-following blogs love to stir up controversy factors with NSFF for the sake of hits.

Blogs providing relevant news for hits would require doing actual work.
