After that craptastic District 9 demo its real hard to get excited about CG rendered images and concept art.

Looks cool, as do more Japanese covers do. We always get either the extreme action shots or just a montage of characters. They think thats all that people will buy when they see it on the shelves. If there isnt a gun somewhere on the cover, it doesnt sell well in the US.
Im pretty damn sure Halo Reach will have more preorders than GoW will have in total sales. Halo 3 had more preorders than every PS3 game had in total sales, except for I think 3 games, thats it.
It doesnt look great visually but its a racing game, as long as the physics are great thats whats important.
I think had Prologue not looked average and the time trial demo didnt look like total ass, I would probably care more about how much proc power it used.
As expected, it looks exactly like the PS3 version. Although if there was something better about the 360 version, at this point that would not shock me at all.
All PS3 owners were just Bayonetta'd.
Beat this game once, bored of it immediately. It looks great, story is great, gameplay is old. It's another Gears clone with some platforming elements that basically play themselves for you.
You know it was a weak year when this is the best that we can get.
Sounds real good. A relief too since my 360 has been dead so ive been wasting my time on Killzone 2 which is such a poor Halo knockoff. There is no substitute for the real thing.
Ive played lots of demos that came out many months before the game did, and every one of them was pretty damn close to what the final game was.
In the last 6 months of any game its usually all the testing crap, tweaks, things like that.
The demo didnt look terrible, but it didnt look mind blowing either, not even close. And they made no attempt at changing the gameplay at all which is just weak. David Jaffe is probably laughing right now.
The demo looked very unimpressive. An HD version of a PS2 game maybe, no better than GOW1/2. There is no way you're going to drastically change a games visuals in half a year. Not happening.
But, whatever gets you through the night right? Keep telling yourself the demo wont represent what this game will look like. Sounds utterly ridiculous to me since I have never played a demo that didnt look like the final game.
Agreed. It looked like crap in the D9 demo. The only time this game looks good is in CG cut scenes. They're getting lazy.
But what you have here is a ton of Sony fanbois that cant see things for what they really are. It's sad. I own all 3 consoles so I have no need to be biased, and when a game looks lame ill say so, unlike the rest of these tools.
The demo for this game is awful. It's the same game I played 2 years ago, which was the same game I played 2 years before that. There's only 1 great game in this franchise, and it was made my David Jaffe. After he left all they did was try to copy his work. This series blows.
Lame article, but clearly the biggest game of 2010. Maybe not GOTY, but no game will touch it in sales.
The 360 is in about 9 million more homes, and for a good reason, there is a mountain of great games on it. In fact metacritic says there's over 40 more 360 games rated 80 or higher. God luck arguing against that little stat. You can pretend all day, everyone knows what the reality is.
Maybe the graphics blow U2 away, but the gameplay sure as hell doesnt. Borefest is a good word for it.
If you think Gran Turismo is still bigger than halo, then you just dont follow gaming very closely. Only reason GT has more total sales is it had 3 games out before the first Halo game, and even after all that, Halo is only about 5 mil behind. It will surprass it with Reach guaranteed to sell 10mil easily.
Im about 8 hours in now and its already better than every PS3 game I own. Thats just a simple fact. There is nothing on the PS3 that is on this level.
Uncharted 2 is very pretty, but in the end its another Gears knockoff. Demon's Souls is a good RPG, but the visual style is weak and the story is lame. MGS4 is good, but its the worst MGS game. Mass Effect is the total package. Original visuals and gameplay, with a great story on top of it, sick replay value for an RPG. It's unmatc...
