This was quite possible the worst E3 show ive ever seen. A ton of safe sequels, twisted metal with craptastic graphics, a minigame version of LBP, really nothing worth even discussing.

Uh, what about Sony's conference was great to you? Another killzone? Another infamous? Twisted Metal with some of the worst graphics this gen? Terrible, they were worse than MS.
Sony and MS were just awful this year. I actually thought Sony's was the worst. I want to punch Jack Tretton for wasting 2 hours of my time with not 1 single thing that excited me.
Nintendo really killed it.
It was clearly very easy for Nintendo to win E3. Sony and MS's conferences were just awful. All nintendo had to do was unveil the 3DS which we all knew was going to happen, then a handful of good looking games. Had the whole show in the bag.
First of all Nintendo won, as every single gaming site has already said. Sony's conference was awful. No major suprises outside of twisted metal, and the graphics looked horrendous.
Last time I checked, Nintendo owned E3, and that conference was even worse than MS's.
Gameplay graphics looked awful, and the gameplay itself didnt look too great either. Black looked much better than this. Jaffe Fail.

Nintendo already has this gen in the bag, still enjoying good sales, and may be looking to leave everyone behind with something new while MS and Sony are still wallowing away with their 4-5 year old machines.
Nintendo is clearly ahead of the game right now. If they do announce a new machine, I like it, they not only beat the hell out of their competition this gen, but are still on the offense. Good for them, not messing around.
Generalizations FTL. There's more JRPGs on the 360, just so ya know, and a couple of them had pretty nice sales.

Yes, its sad it will now have access to more ppl than it would on the failstation. MGS4 only sold 5 million copies worldwide, about half as much as Halo 3 did. Now wouldnt you say thats total fail?

You work in marketing? I have for the last 10 years. The people that love the xbox are not tied to the name, they will buy MS's next machine. A new brand is for the ppl that are not a fan of the xbox. It's a new start, knowing you as an xbox fan will already buy it, this is to help suck everyone else in.
The 360 itself is a huge success, even managed to hold the mighty sony down, so they've already got a strong foothold in the gaming market. Now it's time to take it to the next level. A new brand can help that, it can help get ppl excited instead of the same old crap, playstation 1,2,3,4,5,6....
A new brand can do wonders for you if handled properly. They've already got over 30 million loyal fans. I think it's a good move, aim for the stars microsoft.

Yeah the ending was not great. Not only do you not get to kill the main baddie, Dutch, but then you spend 8 missions doing chores on a ranch, then you get killed, then you have to play as his awful son.
The kid sounded terrible and looked really weird. They took a risk, and I dont think it was a total failure, but it could have been better. I wanted the son to be angry, I wanted to feel it, I didnt feel anything with him.
