Hmmm, looks like food for the ol extra screws jar.
Separate question, are game installations super fast (after/during download) or installing from a disc?
Ive wanted cartridges back for so long...
PC and console experiences = not comparable, so don’t try, please, don’t try.
Well said.
Not a proponent of either next gen console’s visual style, but please stop calling this box “bold” ...
If the shell were made of glass, or totally out of recycled cardboard, or to resemble a chess board, or almost anything else, that would be bold. A subwoofer, or two airfoils glued together is hardly bold.
Also, it isn’t bad at all, nor is the PS5. Switch is bolder in design than either and I don’t own one.
120? Psssh you need at least 240
Those weak CPUs had handicapped everything for so long.
Well, they could easily make a top notch powerful portable console, just not for 300.00...
%100.
When I build a PC, I usually have to get new-everything to prevent bottlenecks. To take full advantage of what the 3000 series offers I’d need newer SSD, CPU and system memory and potentially the mobo itself.
@TheProblem
I’ll take it! I’ll make a duchess of this draggletailed gutter-snipe!
Dang, now just need games out to take advantage of the power, I feel like most are lagging behind in terms of graphics options. I’m gonna roll with the 1080ti for a bit longer, but the 3080 price is certainly on point.
Why can’t we all just embrace penises already...
Just a body part, like shins..
I tend to agree with this whole premise, Sony will dominate and that Microsoft’s ultimate intention is to provide services over any given piece of hardware. Eventually Xbox will be a Stadia-like device with it, and PCs, having access to MS services.
All I can say is, hopefully for Microsoft and their fanbase, whatever this theme is they are trying to float by on, i.e. “most powerful hardware,” it had better be enough to last through launch and then beyond through the likely lack-luster first year.
I’m interested in STALKER revival though, but likely on PC.
Well this might run on next gen consoles at 1080p or more and 60 fps with ray tracing... just have to bump down crap ton of other settings.. textures, draw distance, number of NPCs and whatnot. It’s always about balance, optimization or not.
When will they just take mo-cap data on this stuff and give real-world effects to these attachments instead of the non-sensical pros/cons.
Take some averages from several operators and then apply the averages incrementally via an XP system (based on player weapon-use) and bang, you got yourself a sensible and appropriately scalable model.
I hope whoever portrayed that main dog in the game falls off a bridge. Oh, and whoever was responsible for the character wardrobe design... there is a special place reserved in hell for that SOB...
I’m going into cryostasis, somebody wake me up when the world makes sense again.
Great, the more the better. I too am among those that would love 3rd person camera as an option, if only to better appreciate such attention to detail.
Keep up the great work.
Option should be there along with mouse and keyboard support, seriously, how difficult would it be... just do it.
And no I don’t use it often, but if it were reliable, functional and usable with mouse and keyboard maybe I would...
