When is it going to freaking be here already!!! JEEZ!
It's a beautiful game, no doubt (I played the demo); but I myself have found I don't really have the time, energy (mental), or money to spend on learning something new...
I guess FPSs are just simpler so that's what the appeal is for me right now...there just isn't enough time and money.

Master Chief all the way...I mean, the Halo story is soooo much better and deeper than the Metal Gear story; it's been around way longer and ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh who am I kidding: Halo = Hell No!

As soon as I heard the part about playing for the past four weeks I was like, "you lucky SOB!"
I think he's wrong about Insomniac, but I never really clicked with the game's style or story; it's not bad, but it just didn't get me like the Resident Evil series or Silent Hill or Metal Gear...I guess I haven't really gotten into a new series for a long time. Uncharted was really fun, I almost forgot about it since my friend lost the disc...Hopefully there will be some more cool IPs in the coming years.

I think it'll sell well over time; I love this game, the creativity and flexibility possible is amazing, but I find I just don't have the time to invest in this sort of game...shooters, even though they are everywhere you look, are quick, fun, just jump in and jump out. School takes up too much time and I think this is the story for many gamers in my age-group.
Looked almost as smooth (animation wise) as Uncharted, and it never even got off the ground; maybe there's a chance it could get picked back up...
Yay! Ranting sounds like fun...uh, Battle Field: Bad Company- when you're the last man standing in your squad the words "your the last man standing" appear in red right in the middle of your screen and it stays there for like twenty seconds even when you try to zoom in with a weapon...and it's really a completely useless piece of information on top of it all! What moron decided, "hmmmm, lets put this piece of text right about here in the middle of the freaking screen so you can...
I didn't read it, but that's just a funny title, "abuse your girlfriend in 3D," that's simply funny...:)
It's because they don't say Gears of War or GoW 2 looks stark, oh no, for those games it's harsh and war-torn or appropriate for some reason. Same for CoD 4, a whole lot of sandy and tan and messy green environments, but it's all good for them.
Killzone 2 has been bashed for it's color pallet from day one and unrightly so because if you looked at almost any quality video you would see that for a game as dark as this all the little lighting effects, lens flares volumetric particle...
Seriously, it's gonna say, "just another shooter, doesn't do anything revolutionary," as if that were the only way an FPS could get a good score now a days. What the hell did CoD 4 do? Nothing! They actually removed helpful features that CoD 3 had in multiplayer, like being able to choose what freaking map you want to play!
Of all the things to mention, lens flares...jeez...how bout mentioning all the dust and drifting clouds of volumetric smoke and other particle effects for god's sake! And the destructibility!
-side note- I believe I read that vehicles will be available in multiplayer after launch in a patch; I think it will be an immediate patch as soon as you log on and boot up the game.
Played the PC demo too, and I have a PS3...there's no correlation between whether or not I own a PS3 and whether I think a game for PC/360 is average or boring.
Played the PC demo, it was boring...just mouse click, mouse click, arrow key, arrow key...really fun...
They are illegal; Sony is going to prison for a long, long time.
Wha? Where's the freaking God of War III demo...? Crikey?!
Definitely a game for friends, otherwise you're stuck with the shoddy team AI and without the friend element things get pretty repetitious and the lackluster graphics (which are really excellent in their own way) don't justify a purchase (not for sixty bucks anyway).
-it's fun, but REALLY fun if you play with friends
-looks good, but not great
-costs not justified by the production values
