I really like the idea for the Kraken, not my favorite drawing, but definitely my favorite concept; the idea that it's so old and immense that it's sort of entrenched into the environment and all that... nice.

Totally forgot MGS4, dang! It just came so early in the year... whew! And that was a big'n too! That's what happens with delayed titles, they get pushed to the early part of the next year which screws everything up, so PS3 wins 2008 then!!! Yayyyy!!!

Hmmm, not aware of connection issues or lag, pretty damn sure Gears 2 had frame rate drops (on and offline), not to mention the horrific texture pop-ins... that about sums it up.

Well I don't recall 2007 ever being claimed as the supposed year of the PS3, but for the majority of 2008 PS3 overtook 360 in sales, until only recently, month to month... and 2009 is showing the most promising line up of games, first and third party titles, yet for PS3, or any platform for that matter, even starting as early as February and you want to say PS3 is going to take third?
Come on, I could understand making that statement in 2007, but 2008 was a dead heat until the 36...
What did Microsoft have this year, exclusive wise I mean (this is not meant to be confrontational) so beyond Fable 2 and Gears 2 what were the other big ones?
I know Sony only had Resistance 2 and Little Big Planet (which I still think will catch on over the long run) right?
I don't think either had any real enormous showing, sales were good, but nothing spectacular game-wise and definitely nothing new except for LBP which should have done better.
