Camping in the dark might be difficult for the Helghast, don't you think?
I can't believe how many little fairies there are in here comparing game developers with each other, "oh Cliffy B. is way cooler than David Jaffe," "nuh uh," "uh huh," "nuh uh," jeez, what little poosies. Why do you care about these people?!
Dude, that totally makes you sound like a gossiping teenage girl, "oh, who's THAT girl he's with, gosh she is fat, I'm much skinnier than her, what's he doing with her anyway!"
Seriously, get a life man. Wait? You are a man, aren't you...maybe you ARE a gossiping teenage girl, sorry, I didn't mean to offend you if you are.
Amateur articles...
I'm sure militaries around the globe will soon adopt the 'human shield' technique in their training programs.
In all seriousness though, I'm surprised no crazed fan has made a chainsaw gun on youtube or something...
Finally, clear-minded free-thinking people...what a relief. Everyone keeps talking about how there's nothing left to do in a WWII game that hasn't already been done! There's only every single battle of WWII from the German, Japanese and Italian (had to include them) perspectives...
Imagine playing out the initial Blitz Krieg plan and finally being halted at Stalingrad in Russia, THAT would be epic.
When will there be a WWII game where you can play as the Germans and Japanese in their respective campaigns; games should represent history as it happened not just one side of a story, that's completely childish.
If playing as the Nazis needed a moral aspect, you could play as one of the ignorant foot soldiers who happens across all the same atrocities the higher-ups were responsible for committing. It's not like every single soldier was some anti-semitic biggot masterminding the...
What's a PC/360 exclusive, I'd like to know? Not sure how that's even possible really...
All I have to say is...you can create whatever you want, but don't publish something you think might be deemed offensive. It's just common sense.
Needs some bumpmapping, but it might be completely diff. than Gears so who know what they're gonna do with it.
I've said it before and I'll say it again; the Call of Duty 4 engine and whatever few modifications Treyarch has made to it is NOT gritty or weighty enough for a World War II game.
That quickness and speed of the modern combat environment suits a Call of Duty 4 game, but not the heavy, bloody drudgery of trenches and jungles...
Am I alone in this feeling...all that said, it still looks very fun!
So the flame thrower flames looking like a bright vapor cloud-spray is perfect and screen tearing no longer matters? 9.5 MAYBE, but certainly not a 10 in the graphical department.
To tell you the truth, I haven't heard much of the musical score...I love that one actor's voice, the main Helghast guy I guess from Troy and Braveheart and Super Troopers, so I assume the score is up to par with the graphics, gameplay and voicework.
I agree with the "no soul" aspect; ratchet and clank have soul, but Nathan Hale and the series have this "shooter" aspect to it, but no real substance. The games are good, but never enthralled me story-wise or with its characters. It was fun for an arcady style shooter, but then they ditched those fun arcady aspects in R2 (i.e., carrying ten weapons at once).
I think part of why it lacks "substance" is because the chimera are such a mystery, we reall...
Well, there it is...it looks BETTER than the CG trailer. Amazing, truly amazing.
It's because you like the sound of the light saber when it turns on or off or whips through the air, the sound of Vader's breathing, TIE fighter whooshing by sounds, blaster sounds...basically all the awesome sound effects and musical score is what I'm getting at.
I just can't wait to see what a flame thrower looks like (the flames anyway); fire and other volumetric type particle effects are always telling of a system/game's graphical prowess, i.e., Haze's fire looks like gelatin, therefore the game is gelatin.
SO WHAT! Jeez, you're gonna make fun of a monster because he has a learning deficit?! Nice man, really mature...Gosh!
Cool
