Mass Effect was laggy and doesn't look THAT great considering all the cookie cutter environments, i.e. every outpost was practically the same, every space freighter, and those alien worlds (the side mission ones) were totally garbage, almost last minute idea kind of ooking things.
Wasn't even worth the 30 bucks I spent for it for PC, the music was very nice though!
I agree and don't think 360 is yet maxed, but I wouldn't say the games have become SUBSTANTIALLY better by any means, Gears 2 isn't a vast visual improvement over Gears 1, mostly gameplay refinements.

-looks like it, but we haven't actually seen someone controlling the character yet, so it might be FIRST PERSON! for all we know...
-what kind of progress have they made, they could at least be a bit more specific on that without revealing anything; generally devs display their progress (though at the discretion of the publishers) by posting footage, giving interviews, et cetera. Are they in alpha or a beta yet?

But I emailed them as well and that was a pretty ultra-standard reply, not much different from what they have posted on their site about the lack of information available.
I have hope left for this game, though it is EXTREMELY unusual for there not to be a single developer interview about the game at this stage of development, few screens and game footage or just information about the game in general.

My two cents-
If your numbers are right, 22 million 360s to 17 million PS3s with the 360 having a year head start I would say that the PS3 (if it were the same price as 360) should be at about 11 million sold (six million less than it is) and it's actually MORE expensive as the article points out and it has sold only five million less than 360...
Am I the only one who can see how this seems more like the PS3 is doing BETTER than 360 and is continually gaining ground?...
Somehow, this still doesn't make me want to play the damn thing...
The only thing the PS3 needs now is support for the freaking NTSC file system... Sony trying to jip everyone by limiting the size of contiguous files on the HDD.
Hopefully when I install YD Linux it will work fine, but it still sucks not being able to use the XMB and sift through all the movies I would put on the damn thing...
Damn, sorry for your loss... I would be pissed if my PS3s and PSP and LCD got stolen.
If Sony is smart, then developing the PS4 or the next iteration of Playstation console will be MUCH cheaper and I don't see why it wouldn't make a profit right out of the box.
1) Blu-ray, if utilized, will be cheap as dirt (the diode)
2) Cell processor and so on will be cheap as dirt too
= PS4 dirt cheap console with amazing abilities... :) What will the trump card be though, that's the question...?

Have to agree that it is still selling, but I haven't really found a reason to touch mine for months (like eight or so). I want simpler, fun games like Zelda and Mario, but I don't want a DS. I don't know what to do...
