There will be some cool ideas about it but I still see backlash happening. I hope it doesn't ruin the console similar to Sega did with a few of their consoles (Saturn, CD, Dreamcast)
It actually makes sense. With the population rising, social media being a powerful marketing tool, and the booming information technology field, gaming has never been as appealing. It makes sense an anomaly like this would happen with the evolution of gaming is becoming more pronounced with each iteration. People are already expecting alternate realities in the future which I think is evident by Sony's new codenames that seem to reference the Matrix (Neo, Sentinel, Morpheus, etc). ...
yes the ps4 might be Sony's most successful console yet. Hopefully they don't screw it up with this PS4.5/Neo stuff.

With that logic the Wii was a good console then huh? He's right, MW2 was shit. MW3 was way better than MW2. People just like to play popularity contest rather than being objective.

They also know that COD4 is currently unplayable on console. Why ban all the hackers/modders when they can just make a remaster and profit like crazy? Its all business to them.
Even on console its unplayable. I played MW on the 360 a few years ago and I couldn't believe how many hackers were on that game. It was like IW didn't even care anymore about the community.
The leaked image states that online connection is required for the MW remaster. Seems like its hinting at having online MP which we all know is the staple to the series.

First off, MW2 was totally overrated. It was an unabalanced spam fest. Ghosts, although having its issue too, is far more balanced and probably has the best MP in the series. MW3 isn't that bad nor was WAW. I just don't get why everyone loves MW2 so much when it was probably the worst of them all.
With that being said, the suck is all relative because the game series as a whole is pretty fucking broken.

The wall running and boosting was added in to make sure the series didn't stagnate too much. They see it as an evolution to the game and was also in reaction to all the gamers complaining that the series became too formulaic and samey. Also Titanfall had some devs from Infinity Ward I think so it could also be to remain competitive to other titles.

No doubt the remaster might get more attention than the new release. I wouldn't mind playing MW with updated visuals yet retain the simple 3-5-7 killstreaks and what not.

The devs will fuck up COD simply because the gameplay mechanics have been broken for a long time now. Broken spawn system (literally spawning next to the enemy player) terrible hit detection/aim assist, and subjective balancing issues with the loadouts. Most of the deaths result from some bullshit reason.

Its about time Nintendo makes a comeback. No gimmicks, powerful specs, standardized controller, and third party support and it might actually be a part of the competition.
