Everyday non-business type of people, don't really think with a business strategy in mind and only comment or reacts based on emotion, which could end up bankrupt in the end.

Think about this, your company has lost upwards of a billion dollars this year on operating costs and your bleeding money in a recession stricken time. You've made some terrible business decisions in terms of marketing your all products & rushing some titles to the market that are not quite ready. Presen...

AWESOME POST! Bubbles for you my friend.

The problem is that these writers in the media aren't true gamers at heart. They only dabble in the games (race through them) to write and prove the negative points in their agendas.

The analogy would be, if they were to do a review of the comfort factor of a road trip across America from New York to L.A. using different cars, from several different cars makers. They would focus more on the car makers & car sales numbers, ...

with Linux & Macs versions of these OS apps, can be completely remove from the OS by just deleting the main folder (along with the unused libraries) and without it crippling the OS. Unlike Windows!

It just removes the links, that's all. Same with Outlook Express and all of the other M$ programs.

Try doing it & look in your Program Files & Windows System32 directories after deleting it. It's still there! Oh I almost forgot, search for "Internet Explorer" in your Registry as well. LOL!

Your answer:
Anyone that allows you to surf the web using W3C standards & can be fully deleted if you don't like using it!

If you have ever created a website from scratch, you would realize that any website using M$'s tools (FrontPage, Word, Excel etc.) has about 30% extra unnecessary code included in it. And, is a nightmare for every other web browser other than IE.

6232d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

web site browsing is a mess right now because of Microsoft trying to force their horrible non W3C standards, FrontPage extensions, the ActiveX nightmare & the lastest Silverlight app. They had ditched support for most of these apps & Microsoft have created more confusion that anything else!

in the fact that you can't delete IE because it's coded right into the OS & forced onto users. In fact you can't delete any of the apps in Windows (e.g. notepad, wordpad, movie maker etc.), so if you download a better application you're still forced to keep Microsoft's version!

All Microsoft does give you though, is the option to removed the start up links, but the main files are still there on your PC taking up space & resources.

many moons ago, people use to think that way about gaming, for the most part (e.g. I have PC why do I need a console). correct me if I'm wrong but aren't there more console gamers than PC gamers presently, if not at least equally?

I guess it's comes down to being able to surf/watch videos from the comfort of your couch on the big screen, easily! Something still possible, when hooking up your PC to your livingroom bigscreen LCD/Plasma, but is a bit of a pain in the @$$.

I believe you're in need of an eye exam my friend!

@DeathroW22
As for what COD4 did differently than other FPS games... it was the graphics at the time! Infinity Ward did raise the standard when it came to level of detail in their graphics, without compromising gameplay (dropping frame-rates) mind you.

I still remember when I first seen the in game trailer for COD4... my lower lip dropped to the floor instantly. At that time there was nothing else that could co...

the Rainbow Six devs need to do something to raise the standard of their game development.

Q:"Why would it be unprofessional to bash fanboys?"
A: Because as a so called professional GAMING journalist, it is your sole duty to write informative objective articles about GAMES to inform gamers. Not write about fanboys, unless you just want to start virtual fights & get a rise out of your audience for hits. The focus on these websites don't seem to be about the games anymore!

"Hell, if I had a site I'd bash fanboys all day." Thank God that you ...

It was changed early on in it's life cycle because of a deal cut with Microsoft.

They didn't want the linux distro to be mistaken for Windows by users. It's not a very popular distro like it once was, but it's still alive.

to see what game all your friends on your friends list are playing on the 28 of Feb and shortly there after. Also, to see those friends you have on your list that haven't been online in ages, all of a sudden magically reappear.

I remember 2 days after Socom Conf. was released everyone on my friends list except for 2 guys, was playing it.

I wouldn't go that far as to say that (it is a bit unfair). They did come out with some great titles, paid through the nose to influence third party devs to create exclusives & dlc, along with dropping the price at a crucial time did help with that 8 mill lead. Although you do state the truth... being the first to that next-gen market was their main reason for the lead they presently have (5 mill in year 1 when they were all alone).

Thanks for the intriguing read I too have had a hunch that Microsoft have been bleeding at the ears with regards to the 360. I'm not saying that your post is indeed fact but the tell tale signs & some common sense deduction, tells me that your not too far off the mark! Great post & a bubble for you sir.

it will own without co-op, but don't leave your 360 man, have the best of both worlds! I don't own a 360 myself but I don't see why you need to ditch one for the other, especially when you have poured in so much time & money into your 360!
