The rain making everything slippery is the worst mechanic in the game. The world is already huge and hard/tedious enough to get around, they don't need to randomly make it impossible to climb anything for fifteen minutes too.
No, it's the fault of a terrible reviewer and an even worse editor who let that abortion see the light of day. Stop blaming game makers for crappy journalism.
Good. There should be more than two years between numbered Halo releases.
The best way to use aggregation sites is as an easy way to get links to a bunch of reviews. I use OpenCritic, and if I want a full picture of a game I read at least one good review and one bad one. Usually more, because most reviews are heavily influenced by the reviewers likes and dislikes (I still have no idea why big sites with lots of employees have so many reviews written by people who "usually aren't into this kind of game, but I gave _____ a try anyway") But just looking ...
What I want is for "like Dark Souls" to get a genre name so people can just say "______ the new _______ from ______" instead of going on about which part of it is like Dark Souls. It's just as annoying as when every single third person cover shooter was called a Gears clone, or when every open world game with cars was a GTA ripoff.
It doesn't have to be Microsoft, but yeah, it was always going to be the hardware that came out a few years after the first wave of VR that started to make the technology better and more affordable. VR still has a long way to go to be anything other than a cool, if expensive, piece of new tech, but if you're hoping it doesn't flop like it always has in the past, the fact that major companies are still investing in bettering the technology is a good sign.
Now if ...
You know what would be awesome? If we went a week without a game being compared to Dark Souls.
Please stop. Games are getting way too big and, most of the time, that space is filled with nothing but busywork.
I thought DoA was a misogynistic game series created so men could rape digital women with their Male Gaze(tm). I guess now we have a feminist loophole so we don't need to crap all over the series anymore.
Because in an RPG you need to start out with nothing. Even if Noctis started the game with a million gil, a regular potion would have cost three million because games need balance and they need to conform at least somewhat to the conventions of their genre. It's not something you need to think this hard about.
Literally could not care less about another trailer for a game that's still years away from release.
So this guy gave it a bad score because he ran into a bug? JFC. Terrible review. This shouldn't have a score attached to it at all.
I wonder if developers are getting sick of random games journalists asking them what they think about the Scorpio?
Good. All it would do is rile up the idiots. "EHHH IT DROPPED DOWN TO 29 FOR HALF A SECOND THIS CONSOLE IS GARBAGE PHIL IS A LIAR F*CK YOU M$ REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"
Can we please let this cancerous idea that companies need to "win" a trade show die? Please?
Japanese development takes forever, dude. Especially when it's Square Enix and even more especially when they announce the game before they've even started full time development. I'd expect Kingdom Hearts 3 before this, even with them stupidly making it episodic.
So people will stop asking about it. That's it. That's literally the reason.
The thumbnail for this article is totally inaccurate. How the hell do these posts keep getting approved?!
That's not at all what he said. JFC...
Pirating a game is never right. I don't care what BS "I'm just trying to make a POINT HERE" justification you pull out of your ass, if you take someone's work and don't pay them that's called stealing and it's legally and morally wrong. Especially if you want companies to bother with PC ports, something they're never gonna do if you guys just pirate crap all the time.
