Everybody has different opinions. I know for a fact that I would take Dead Space over MGS4. If you feel the opposite, that's ok too.
"below all PS3 exclusives"? Give me a break. Only a couple PS3 exclusives really excell, like Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2. Many PS3 exclusives I have played like Ratchet and Clank, Warhawk, and Resistance only look average.
Also, it's not like the 360 doesn't have some really nice looking exclusives like Gears 2 and Alan Wake. And the upcoming Gears of War 3 looks even better.
Well Gears of War was out at the same time as the PS3 came out and it had better looking graphics than any of the PS3 games. Ratchet and Clank isn't that great in terms of graphics. There are many, many games on the 360 that look better.
Uncharted came out a year after the PS3 came out and it barely passed Gears 1. Later Gears 2 passed Uncharted and then Uncharted 2 surpassed Gears 2. Now Gears 3 looks like it is going to surpass Uncharted 2. It just goes back and forth like ...
But you don't get it. I loved what I saw of Gears of War 3 and Halo Reach. Sony's wasn't any better. The only game they announced that interests me is Twisted Metal and in some ways that was a big let down because the graphics are down right pathetic. Hell, even Twisted Metal Black had a better look than that.

It's a nice revision of the hardware and it's no wonder that it will sell well. I would like to get one, but I just can't justify it because I have a 360 that has been running strong for over 4 years.
Yeah, my launch 360 is too loud. But you know what?, so is my 80GB PS3. They are both about the same, ie too loud.
My friend's newer 360 is actually a lot quieter than my 80GB PS3 and I'm sure this is even quieter.

That's the way it's always been, man. The PS3 fanboys took Sony's word as the gospel truth, not realizing that Sony has used this tactic in the past. They always claim performance for their consoles that is not even close to the reality of what the consoles can actually do in the real world. They did it with the PS2 as well, but their lies never took hold because it was just too blatantly obvious that the Xbox was much, much more powerful than the PS2.

While I agree that lighting and shadowing is a very important aspect of graphics, I think you are jumping to conclusions. I don't know what's up in that pic, but I can guarantee this game will character shadows. It must be a fluke or something because it would have character shadows at the very least.
