None of the top games on either console are all that different from each other in pure graphical terms. I've always agreed that Uncharted 2 has the edge over Gears of War 2, but that's all it has ever been - an edge. Gears of War 3, however, easily equals or surpasses Uncharted 2.

The problem is, fanboys just claim certain games look better than anything on the 360 even when they don't. It's circular reasoning. I could ask the same thing by saying "if the PS3 could run a game like Alan Wake or Gears of War why hasn't it"? It's a form of begging the question.

Silly fanboy drivel. inFamous 2 is a nice looking game, but it isn't really that special. Assassin's Creed and Red Dead Redemption are better looking open world games.
Even in the demos I didn't notice any real slowdown. I remember Gamespot or IGN claiming that the 360 had a bit more slow down than the PS3 version, so I was really looking out for it when I played the demo. I honestly could not detect any slowdown worth speaking about. It will be interesting to see how the final game turned out as far as the framerate if Digital Foundry or Lens of Truth do a framerate analysis.

More variety is always a good thing. Unless you are Castlevania or Ratchet and Clank, in that case variety is somehow bad.
It sounds like they are really improving Killzone 3 in various ways. It should be great.
Gears 3 looks a lot better than the first two. The lighting is really amazing now and the textures look crisper than ever. I played it at PAX, but only the Beast mode, which was awesome by the way.

"zero AA" is false, it has temporal AA.
"20fps" is false, it runs smooth most of the time.
"low poly" is false. I don't think anybody has a way to measure the poly count, but just looking at the size of the levels and how well things are modeled I am willing to bet the poly counts are well above average.

Obviously not. As we have seen with countless multiplatform games many times games that run perfectly fine struggle on the PS3. Pointing to games that are only on one platform doesn't prove anything because we don't have the other console version to compare it to.

MGS4 and Uncharted 2 are both really good games, just like Halo Reach, but they aren't perfect. If Halo Reach doesn't deserve a 10 neither do either of those games.
