-The hexagonal pattern on Miranda's outfit looked a little flatter in the PS3 version.
-One interesting thing I noticed was that there was a difference in the sound of voices in the scene where you first run into Miranda (after she shoots the guy that betrayed you). The 360 version had room acoustics or reverberation that made the voices sound like they were in a room-like environment. The PS3 version sounded totally flat in this spot. Nevertheless, I kept paying atten...
I spent several hours comparing the two versions for myself on my Sony HDTV and Lens of Truth were essentially correct with their comparison.
-Right off the bat the PS3 version was a little darker and colors looked slightly more saturated, but by dropping the brightness down one notch in the setting menu it made the 360 versions slightly darker than the PS3 version and colors looked pretty close to the PS3 version, maybe just a little more saturated.

Uh huh, that's why Gears 3 looks way better than Gears 2. Herp derp, you're a real genius.
UE3 is still a multiplatform engine. It wasn't built from the ground up on the 360.
Alan Wake looks better than Uncharted 1. So does Gears 2.
No, Alan Wake looks good because of all the detail packed into every environment. When you go into any building there are all these little touches that make it seem believable. The lighting is also a standout feature. The amount of real time shadows and lights playing across the environments at many points surpassed anything I had seen in a console game before.
I'll break it down so you can understand it, ThanatosDMC. You're just as ignorant as the rest of the PS3 fanboys on this site. What starchild wrote made perfect sense and your response made absolutely no sense. Haha you were half asleep when you wrote it?...nice excuse.
Wow, the PS3 has better graphics on like two games (Killzone and Uncharted) yet the vast majority of its exclusives look complete average and it actually performs worse on most multiplatform games. I wouldn't call that delivering the best graphics. Not in a general sense at least.

I spent several hours comparing the two versions and the results were somewhat surprising.

Ok, then Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 should also be on the 360.
I don't know what is sadder, the ignorance of El_Colombiano or the fact that so many other morons agreed with him.
Este don nadie me hace reir por lo estupido que es. Sigue asi pendejo.
Look, we're all talking about videogames instead of playing them. Some people are interested in the business side of this industry, some seem to be obsessed with the "console war", some like to make comments about games we want, some like to delve into industry gossip....there are tons of different areas people might have an interest in.
I think Halo Reach is an absolutely excellent game and therefor it is nice to see it being enjoyed by so many other people.
If you didn't notice the screen tearing throughout the demo you must either have poor vision or you are an extremely undiscerning person. But I doubt that because you rightly recognize how good Uncharted 2 and GOW3 look.
I think you are just a diehard fan of the PS3 trying to believe what you want to believe.
The tearing was present in most areas of the game. Most of the time it was up near the top of the screen, but it still took me out of the experience. The other t...
No extra cost? You can get the 360 version for less than $20 now. Even if you buy all the DLC it is still cheaper than the PS3 version. The PC version is even cheaper.
It also performs worse on the PS3 than on the 360. Unless you like screen tearing and a highly variable frame rate. The 360 version also has slightly more detailed textures in some places.
Still, if you only own a PS3 by all means buy it and enjoy it. It is one of the best games of the ge...
Everything seems so much smoother in Gears 3. I love the new brutal kills. The graphics are also just amazing.
What? The 360 has over 800 games in its library. Hundreds of those are rated in the 70s, 80s and 90s. So, plenty of good games there.
I have at least a dozen games that I can't play anywhere else and by themselves would be more than enough reason that I wouldn't want to be without my 360. Then there are some that are on the PC as well, but since I don't want to game on the PC the 360 is my only choice to play those games. Finally, there are full multiplatform...
Yes, finally someone with some common sense! I guess that makes it "uncommon sense" - at least on this site. There are a handful of people that made reasonable comments, but most of the rest are fanboys.
Worst case scenario for me: I buy a whole bunch of multiplatform games for my 360 (since they almost always look better) and Gears of War 3 and maybe the Crytek exclusive. Then I get Killzone 3, The Last Guardian and maybe Uncharted 3 for my PS3. Guess what? The 360 will still get more play time. Yes, I will probably play like one more exclusive on my PS3 than on my 360, but so what? That's why I have both consoles. I can get any exclusives I want and I can always get the better ve...
Lens of Truth didn't lie. Their report was accurate to what I found myself during my own comparison, which you can read on the first page of comments. PS3 fanboys just call LOT or Digital Foundry or any other comparison site liars because they don't like the results.
@Bonerboy
That's true. When you get right down to it games are about having fun and this game is certainly fun. That said, the truth is the truth and if you have both consoles I s...
