You're a hopeless moron.
Even the Jasper units were pretty reliable. The new 360 S is by all accounts well engineered and reliable.
Soda Popinsky isn't comparable to ClownTroll.
Soda Popinsky mainly defends the 360 and takes a few shots a PS3 fanboys here and there, but Clownbelt goes around and flat out trolls every 360 article saying the most absurdly false things. Big difference.
Shut your ignorant mouth, clownbelt. All you do is troll.
The 360 S my friend has is really quiet. It runs cooler than his PS3 slim.
It's true that exclusives generally have better budgets and the teams are encouraged to push the hardware more, but it is only a tendency. There is absolutely nothing that says that an exclusive has to be the best looking game on a console. Companies like iD and Crytek have technical knowledge above most other developers.
Crysis and Crysis 2 look better than Uncharted 2 or Killzone 2. Even the 360 version they showed of Crysis 2 looked better. Crytek's technical know-how is simply above most other developers.
In my opinion, it is PS3 fanboys that are out of touch. You guys are the ones that over-exaggerated the PS3 exclusives in the first place. Then when people point out that games like Alan Wake look just as good as most PS3 exclusives you guys just stick your fingers in your ears and go "lalalal...it's sub HD so it can't possibly have good graphics". Then you think something has been proven. When in fact what has happened is people have simply given up talking to you guys....
Of course the engines have different strengths and weaknesses, but Enslaved is indeed up there with the best I have seen.
Edit @ inception123
It looks noticeably better than Heavenly Sword. I've always said that Heavenly Sword was pretty game and I admired Ninja Theory's work on it. I wish it had been a little longer, but it was a strong game nonetheless.
It seems to me all you are doing is building straw men and then beating the ...
Enslaved is indeed gorgeous. It is up there with the best-looking games of the generation. The character models also look exceptional. The story and voice acting seem excellent as well.
Actually, since most of the games I really love this generation are multiplatform games I do look at it that way. To me it is better to say "hmm look at those hundreds of multiplatform games that look somewhat better on the 360" than to say "hmm look at those couple of PS3 exclusives that might look arguably better on the PS3".
Rage looks better than any exclusive I have seen on either platform anyway.
What in the hell are you talking about? It sounds like he knows exactly what he is talking about. He's right, RDR was quite a bit better on the 360 for many of the reasons he listed. Several in depth comparisons have shown this.
I also don't buy the claim that COD4 was identical on both platforms. I have played both versions and I immediately noticed that the 360 version was clearer and had better textures in some places. The frame rate was also a little more con...
The ps3 version just looks raw. Like it is missing effects or something. The grass and other textures just looks raw and jagged on the ps3 while on the 360 version it is smooth and better balanced with other elements in the scene.
Basically, that's it. I find more games I want to play on the 360 and I like the UI and the features of the console better.
It looks really good. I am looking forward to it.
If you didn't tell me Mirror's Edge and Enslaved were Unreal Engine games I would never have guessed.
Umm...you do know that both those games are made by the same studio, right?
Of course they are going to share similarities, they are made by the same artists, designers and programmers at Epic.
How is that? Fable 3 is a RPG. Mass Effect 2 is an RPG. Alan Wake is a psychological action thriller. Splinter Cell Conviction is a stealth action game. Halo Reach and Metro 2033 are shooters.
We already got a great racing game at the end of last year: Forza 3.
Look at how many of the PS3's top games revolve around "shooting stuff": Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, MGS4. Who can help that games that have shooting elements are the most popular these days? ...
Many people do not want to buy or build a PC for gaming. They want to play a console instead. What do you call those games that are only available on one console? It's an important distinction. You call them console exclusives.
Why is it that the whole gaming media and all gamers except PS3 fanboys understand the concept of a console exclusive.
I think Ps3 fanboys are just being obstinate and using it as an excuse to hate on the 360.
My friend's PS3 just got the YLOD. Does that mean a huge percentage of PS3s are defective?
Of course a few people still have their 360s die, just like some people's PS3s die. The problem isn't widespread anymore. In fact, it hasn't been widespread for quite some time. Even the Jasper units were very reliable.
What on the PS3 has really been that influential? Killzone 2 barely made it into the 90s on metacritic and whenever I go online the...
I loved my original Xbox too, but not more than my 360.
I am sure the PS3 will be supported for a long time, but I am sure the 360 will also be supported for a long time. The 360 has done very well this generation and MS controls the manufacturing of the console (unlike the situation with nvidia last generation). They have stated their plan to support the 360 for many years to come. It will sell as the cheaper alternative to the next Xbox. It will be a great value for budget minded gamers and casual gamers.
