Oh well. I was hoping they would do well here, if only to have another stream of revenue. I mean, Sony and MS have their fingers in many other pies, so they can afford to take financial risks like selling powerful hardware at a loss. Nintendo doesn’t, and have essentially consolidated their handheld and home console markets. Well maybe the new Mario movie will be a financial success. 🤷♂️
Reviews are still pretty positive though. 89% Metacritic.
Well in these uncertain times the world isn’t very stable... but at least the Switch is.
Speaking as someone who hasn’t the first clue about game development, what hardships does working from home produce? Aside from team meetings being transferred to Zoom calls, isn’t development done on computers? Can’t those computers be used at the developer’s house? I’m just confused as to what the hurdles of developing a game at home are.
Origami “Peach” is low key freaking me out.
But yeah. Day one for me.
I’m patiently waiting for the rumored Mario 35th birthday announcement of Mario 64/Sunshine/Galaxy 1-2 HD.
A stand alone (Male? Why?) Sheik game that explains the origins of the Master Sword during the dark timeline of OoT? I would have happily thrown my money at Nintendo for this...
Why would they need to? That’s like being upset because Walmart employees don’t announce at check out that you can also find your items at Target.
Super Mario World on SNES. Good times.
This. It’s crazy how our mind perceived “realistic” graphics back in the N64 days.
I read the title and was skeptical. After watching the video, however, I’m sold. Nintendo is no stranger to giving the Zelda franchise a cute aesthetic from time to time. This would seem like a no brainer, plus they could expand the “paper/rpg” series into other Nintendo IPs. Nintendo, make it happen!
Actually, the flu kills about 0.1% of people, while initial studies of COVID 19 put it at 3.4%, 34 times higher. Now to be fair, that percent will probably drop some, since some scientists are speculating that milder cases of COVID 19 are going undiagnosed, and therefore aren’t factored in.

I feel like 2019 was a huge year for Nintendo games: Mario Maker 2, Links Awakening, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Fire Emblem 3 Houses, Pokemon, Yoshi’s Crafted World, plus new IPs like Ring Fit Adventure and Astral Chain. It almost seems like they just released all their games at once, in the span of a few months. Now 2020 is here and Nintendo has nothing left at the ready. There hasn’t even been a (general) Nintendo Direct yet this year. Hoping for one soon.
C’mon THQ Nordic.... give me my new Timesplitters already.
Oh I agree. I was just hoping they could juggle both.
