To be honest I've hardly played my PSP, I normally just play on my iPhone, which has enough short, sharp, games to keep me occupied when I'm not playing on my PS3 or Wii. So I think Nintendo & Sony have a lot of convincing to do, to get folk interested in this next generation of handhelds, especially considering the vast price difference of the games!
It's a mighty impressive piece of kit, I have to say. But it is a lot of cash to fork out for a handheld right enough. I'd say if you've got the cash, go for it.
The JRPG Hero has a pretty stereotypical characterisation right enough. Surely they can give us something different for a change?
I couldn't agree more Scruffy. I've got Dead Rising 2, Assassins Creed Brotherhood, Fallout New Vegas, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and Gran Turismo 5 to play through, and I really want to get Little Big Planet 2, Mass Effect 2 and Dead Space 2. But I think I'll wait until I've at least got through a couple of these older games first before buying them. By then they should come down in price. Although no doubt there will be even more titles emerging that I will be wanting to get...
It's quite sad that interactive entertainment is riding on the coat tails of such a horrible time in human history.
I just hope they bring a bit more variety to the gameplay, as you get fed up beating the same 20 guys up & then you've got to beat up 20 transporters afterwards! They can do better than that surely?
Jesus Christ's Zombie Apocalypse sounds awesome as well! Don't f@#k with the Jesus!
Go Pope go!!
Great to see a gaming article with some humour in it. Too many articles have too little imagination and humour, but this one fair tickled my funnybone.
I've got to say that the two Super Mario Galaxy games are the best games I've played this generation of consoles, the sheer creativity in those games is outstanding and they alone are worth getting a Wii for. If the Wii had the power of the HD consoles, I've no doubts that Nintendo would have destroyed the competition.
Although great games in their own right, I think the Battlefield series beats the COD franchise hands down. I've played Bad Company 2 a lot more than Modern Warfare 2 these last few months. I just feel that there are far too many campers, cheats and downright rude kids playing COD online. I actually preferred playing Spec Ops to the multiplayer in MW2. That's not to say I won't be getting Black Ops, it's already been purchased as a Xmas present. I just think they need to step ...
I played the demo of Costume Quest and although the art style is fantastic, the game just doesn't work for me. Perhaps it's because he uses turn based combat. It was a great idea though. I hope the return of Ron Gilbert will spark him into life, fingers crossed!
Why did the guy not just buy it from shopto.net? I normally get games from them 2 days before release & at a much lower price than the shops. This is like MS saying your Gold subs are going up in price so you can buy the new map packs a month before PS3 owners! Crazy!
Looks great for a free MMO.
We love you Michael! The mans a legend.
When I started playing online on the PS3 it wasn't great, but they have improved things considerably since then. The writer is correct however that there aren't enough players using a headset, and perhaps if Sony added a headset to each bundle it may help foster some community spirit. The Home idea is excellent, and really should be getting looked at by Sony.
I've got to say, Microsoft are mostly responsible for the online gaming world that we have today. Sony could do with taking a few pointers from them by bundling a headset with each console.
I love Nintendo, but they need to embrace the online world a lot more. Trying to get hooked up with friends online on the Wii was a nightmare.
Good interview, looking forward to seeing what these guys do next.
What a sublime trailer. I bet the final game isn't half as interesting though!
