When Microsoft releases official numbers, everybody on here will call them *fake* (in blind fanboyism disregarding that Microsoft is publicly traded on the Nasdaq).
Basically, these dudes only believe what they want to believe. And frankly, who cares what they believe?
No. And Linux has already been patched out anyway, hasn't it?
Fail? It's a good thing that open source drivers are making fast progress. It will force Microsoft to supply official drivers more quickly which is good for us.
Kinect is way more than just a camera, that's why it's interesting for PC use.
Can these cocky idiots just shut up and release their game?
I loved the first Crysis, but all this BS talk is starting to annoy me, especially in the face of Crysis 2 not looking that stellar.
Doing some Mel B? You can just sit down and wave your controller around. The system won't notice the difference because it only has one data point.
If the people in your area don't know what Kinect is it just goes to show how much additional sales potential there is for this system once word of mouth goes around.
Calling other people "stupid" for having different tastes and not being a "hardcore gamer" is pretty childish.
If you're into action movies but other people like dramas and romances, do you call them stupid too?
Dark skin and lack of light makes facial recognition difficult. Wow, who would have thought.
Oh no wait, this is totally racist. Like, totally.
An hour long? I'd say you will be lucky if it's 15 minutes.
You will pay full price for a game that's very cheap on other platforms now. So it's not like you're getting that DLC "for free".
Australia is just telling you to use a specific airline. You can travel there with American or United (360 or PC) but not with Southwest.
A really good graphics card may be the price of a console. But a really good graphics card will also play this at 500 fps in 720p. So do you need a really good graphics card? No.
You need to put a disc in? You need to actually wait for the game to be released and go physically buy it or wait for it to be delivered to your house?
Pre-load on Steam. Click "Play" the second it is officially released. Don't worry about updates, patches or anything. Have fun.
The difference is mainly about (texture) resolution. Just look at this screenshot:

The entire shot shows how much more definition the PC version has, but the best areas to see this difference are the map on the table or the GARCIA label on t...
One of the best games I've ever played.
Mass Effect 2 lightened up the RPG elements and epic storyline for more action but it's fairly good as well. I look forward to the third game.
A single card solution is always preferrable to multi-GPU solutions. You avoid driver problems, possibility of microstutter, incompatibility etc.
Pretty much every review has the 580 and the 5970 neck on neck.

If you compare against the consoles, the increase in graphics quality can generally not be called "slight".
However, a GTX 580 is certainly overkill for the majority of games. This kind of power is only needed for multi-monitor setups and/or 3D Vision.
You expected a lot more? The Wii sold 600,000 units in its first 8 days. It doesn't get much better than that.
