As if Sony would allow that.
From the blue portal. They entered through the orange portal at Valve headquarters.
Somehow I think they only release one demo in order to prevent early screenshot comparisons.
Screenshot comparisons between a PC on ultra high and one of the consoles might be considered negative publicity for the console versions.
What are you people talking about? Having played the Crysis games, I DO NOT know what to expect. I do not know how much consolization there is. I do not know how a linear New York compares to a semi-open jungle.
Crysis 2 seems very different from the original games, and I sure as heck will not buy it "blind" because none of the footage and screenshots I've seen have blown me away at all.
Yes, but we are worried about gameplay changes. For example, making the game play well on a controller may require specific level design, hitboxes etc.
If you have tried playing the first Crysis on a controller, you will know how difficult "Normal" is because the game wasn't designed for controllers.
Alice is dead, she drowned.
Indeed. Uck you Crytek. Uck you very much.
I hope this game tanks on consoles sales-wise.
For games to be scary, you need to be playing in the right environment:
1) Dark room
2) Nobody else present in the room
3) Reasonably large display
4) Loud audio
The dark room is particularly important. Even the scariest game (or movie) just isn't scary anymore when your peripheral vision makes you aware of where you are. This is the reason why I play (horror) games only at night with no lights turned.
I think the second and third games were just as scary as the first. The second one is my favorite because of all the different scenarios.
The article says that they use it for prototyping which saved them $50,000.
An actual surgery will obviously not be performed on an off-the-shelf Kinect unit.
"All of the professional gaming website's tend to agree with me as RDR and GOW3 won most graphics awards of 2010"
And Metal Gear Solid 4 won "Best Graphics" at the VGAs in the same year that Crysis Warhead was released.
What was your point again?
The game came out in a time when the PS360 user base was still fairly small. It pulled out all the stops as a PC exclusive.
Nowadays, with everything being multi-platform, nobody pushes the technology anymore.
Did you just say that Metro doesn't look as good as GOW3 or Red Dead?
This amount of ignorance is suprising even for N4G.
A new engine for Mass Effect does not necessarily improve image quality. The overall look comes down to the existing assets (models and textures) as well as the lighting.
According to Eurogamer, the lighting has changed in a lot of places, but often times for the worse. I don't understand why they changed it to begin with, because the lighting in Mass Effect has always been amazing.
I LOVE Dead Space, but this ad campaign is awful. Not only does it advertise towards children, it also paints gaming in a very bad light.
"So what, you don't think whatever your mom hates is cool?"
Who thinks something is cool because moms hate it? Only kids. The marketing campaign is targeted towards underage gamers. And that's an age group that shouldn't be playing the game.
The control scheme of the Mass Effect games has been completely reworked for keyboard and mouse. It plays like an actual PC roleplaying game.
But anyway, have fun with your power wheels.
The article comes to the same conclusions. Is the article trolling as well then?
Here is one example why the game is overrated: planet scanning. Did ANYBODY enjoy this at all? You're forced to spend hours playing this retarded mini-game. Unlike the first game, ME2 requires you to harvest resources.
This alone should mean a deduction of 10%, so any rating of more than 90% just seems ludicrous.
Don't make this sound as if Sony had somehow initiated things. Sony would NEVER do for PC gamers what Valve is doing for PS3 gamers. Or do you see Uncharted coming to the PC with cross-platform features? Not in a million years.
Portal 2 uses Steamworks and Valve servers. All the cross-platform technology is provided by Valve. The PS3 simply connects you to the internet. From there, Valve takes over. Sony has little to do with it.
