The power consumption is only 10 watts higher than your standard light bulb, which only cost you pennies to keep on for 24/7...
Exactly. In the smartphone market, products are outdated 6-8 months after release, so the initial impression is basically everything. The consoles don't even really define themselves until a couple years in. Playstation has arguably the best legacy to draw from, and their drive in the market is for the gamers.
For nostalgia's sake:

Good list, Destrania.
I have a feeling that the disparity will grow even greater when Sony's many first party studios take the wraps off of their next-gen projects (Guerilla are reportedly working on a RPG-ish game, so we could see something from them announced in the next year or so as well).
Phil Harrison 2.0.
I play Warthunder on PC, and I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who scores a PS4. It is one of the freshest, most fun games I've played in recent memory. Get it!
I also played Warframe on PC, and it is excellent. I didn't play it that much because it felt like it would play better with a controller, and I haven't gone through the steps of hooking my PC up to a controller yet.
The word "bias" is subject to tenses. For example:
He is biased against little blue men.
His bias against twinkies is irrational.
Please understand a word if you are going to use it.
Yeah, God of War is actually fun. *troll face* I kid, I kid. Don't crucify me! ;)
I actually never made the comparison between the two. God of War is a Greek crazy action game with over-the-top set pieces, whereas Ryse seems to be a more tame Roman game with a rythmic, gruesome pace (even if it is reportedly like playing a dial phone).
Haha. I remember that. That commercial made me buy the game on launch day, something I don't do often.

That's correct.

No idea what video feed you're looking at, Andrew. Perhaps you are confusing it because of the weather mismatch. I would say there is a very slight edge in the PS4's favor due to seemingly better AA techniques, though it is hard to distinguish in a compressed movie. ;)
I noticed that as well. Time will tell if that is internet compression/video capture error or actual graphic fidelity issues. For now, I tentatively hand the slight advantage to the PS4.
Normal operating frequency will be in between 1.6 and 2.0 GHz, but AMD likely has a technology like Intel's turbo boost.
@2Cents
You might want to consider that there may be more to it than bad drivers and development tools. The PS4 is undeniably more powerful, and no amount of ESRAM or cloud computing will offset that advantage. Note: this figure does not show the updated theoretical bandwidth limit of 204 gb/s for ESRAM; however, that is not nearly enough to balance it.

@Death
32 MB of ESRAM will not balance the disparity between the consoles. The PS4 holds a 600 gigaFLOPS advantage over the Xbox One (for perspective, my 520 GigaFLOPS GPU in my 3 year old laptop can run Battlefield 3 at high settings reasonably well). Here are the other advantages: 384 more GPU cores (1.5x), 16 more ROPS (2x), 6 more compute units (1.5x), and so on. There is no way at all that a slightly higher theoretical* RAM bandwidth will offset that. It's just not p...
Bro, do you even lift?
Fact: the lighting seems more harsh and less realistic on the Xbox One. It doesn't seem to have much in the terms of reflected light or subsurface scattering. Detail is being lost, unrealistically, at scenes like 0:51, for instance.
Fact: This is a youtube video, so it is compressed; it is difficult to make conclusions from said videos.
PS4 version will be 900p, and the Xbox One version will be 720p, so logic follows that the PS4 version will be significantly clearer. It's hard to tell from compressed Youtube files, but the resolution difference will be quite apparent.
Yeah. The lighting system in the Xbox One version seems a little unrefined (it makes some characters look like they're made of plastic), and its color palette seems oversaturated and inaccurate. Somewhat unsurprisingly, the PS4 version seems to be the superior version.
Wow. Thanks for sharing. That is definitely very impressive.
It's Gigabits, not gigabytes, so divide 2 Gb by 8, and that's how much ddr3 SDRAM it has. As the article says, it likely facilitates or allows for suspend/resume and 15 minute continuous recording.
