I think they asked the correct game fans. You want to give people a reason to invest into your ecosystem otherwise stop making consoles and just be a publisher. Please do tell me what would be the point of continuing to produce either Xboxes, Nintendo consoles or PlayStation consoles if they all should just be allowed to be everywhere? In that case stop spending the money to make a console and let third party steal with that. Just become a publisher instead.

To be frank, pc gamer here, be cautious about spending too much on PC...look at the latest games...horrible pc performance. I wouldnt be surprised if outside of indies the performance continues to suck due to horrible optimization.

The first to go will get attention but if the next showcase is more impressive that will be all they get because people will stop talking about the Sony showcase....whereas if they went after the Xbox show they would stand a chance to be the hot topic throughout the summer. They'll probably still be the hot topic since Xbox will likely fumb...
If they were worried Xbox could outshine their showcase then the common sense thing to do would be to place it after their showcase so that it isn't overshadowed.

Except that's entirely false. They barely had exclusives so there was nothing to bring to more gamers. On the other hand I'm pretty sure PlayStation either has just as many or is close to having just as many exclusive games on PC as Microsoft. Even if not quite there yet Microsoft did remove pretty much 60% or more of the gaming audience from getting access to IP they normally would have had access to on their platform of choice.

Is the steam deck really limiting in the games I can play? I know the upside of the Asus is it's window based so all launchers will be supported.
