The issue isn't lack of endgame content. There's actually a good amount....the big problem is that the entire game is that same content. Nothing really new and exciting opens up. There is not other content except endgame content since everything scales more or less and you're going to be doing the exact same activities that they want you doing at end game. Sure you get "new activities" but they take place in the same areas you've already been in. It's horrible ga...

When I heard it was going to be big open world I was thinking...Great! A big world of sanctuary to explore. Things to find, secrets to uncover and random awesome encounters....
Instead we get a bunch of boring ass acitvities...this couldve just been a mobile game. A lifeless open world. No interesting encounters while roaming around....the list can go on.
The blizzard that made epics like starcraft 1 and 2, Diablo 1 and 2 is long gone.

Still...essential is better value. Sony already gave a catalog for everyone to keep and on top of that had been giving monthly games. CORE will no longer give monthly games...less value.
It specifically says that the games will be updated two or three times per year. This does not equal games with Gold. Games with gold was giving you new offerings every month so that's 12 times per year. Granted those offerings sucked but it can't compare with PlayStation Plus essential which I also believe is cheaper. So yet again Xbox which is the losing of the three platform holders according to them is also the most expensive. And as you can see in the list most of the games being...

I wouldn't have signed anything. Unless this is PlayStations way of buying time to get enough other titles exclusive to their platform.
It's the age of gaming consolidation brought on by Microsoft's sore loser attitude. Gamers will not be able to play on more devices than ever...because of this they will actually be able to play on less devices.
