They've never had a good record. And it's really not that important that starfield be good. Starfield is a Bethesda studios game so it'll be as good as it would have been regardless of purchase and Xbox has no real argument to claim credit for the success of all the already successful studios they've purchased. And none of the studios were making games exclusively for Xbox either.
Awesome! Way to discredit low scores right out of the gate before it's even released. The game is a console exclusive...it's also out on PC so people will be honest there since they don't have a dog in the fight.
It's a Bethesda game. Like most previous Bethesda games it will be a decent and long term game.
Lied? How so exactly?
I didnt follow it through entirely but I recall when you were going to be able to climb using the mantis blades. The next time they showed the game they said it wouldnt be in the game anymore. That to me was enough to mellow down my expectations. Stopped following after so as to not spoil myself anything.
Thoroughly enjoyed the game.
If im a parent with very young kids, of which I have 5, I would not buy them the series s...I'd buy them the nintendo switch.
But if they really wanted the xbox, to my shame, I would buy them the series x because its a phsyical console. Digital only would force my kids to only get digital games. The physical world allows them more options, trading is a huge one. By trading in games I've purchased them they would be more easily able to get newer games before working ...
This is not a redemption story.
Starfield is not one of the biggest games to ever release. Enough with hyperbole. Definitely a significant title that they bought permanent exclusivity rights to. Scummy move.
And Microsoft knew that would be the case....which is why the release of series s is a scummy move and on too of scummy...it's also anti gamer as it is digital only and moves towards subscriptions.
Xbox desperately wants a generation refresh once again.
In an attempt to get more market share they've once again given themselves a crutch.
The only outlier this gen is their greedy desire to buy up all the 3rd party in order to eliminate competition.
And we knew it was a mistake at launch. A thinking brain is invaluable these days.
Mass market? So why haven't they kept up with the PS5?
Slimiest push I'd say...it's not a big push in gaming since it doesn't grow anything or improve the medium.
Absolutely...not much if a console war if you ask me.
Examples? What large scale boss do you fight? Besides dragons which are more mechanics based than boss fights I really can't think of many....in Ragnarok I can think of a few bug bosses.
Which big release?
So you make an opinionated comment and you're surprised some disagree with you? Did you got 3 disagrees...nothing to cry about.
They disagree that it's 3rd place not that you can't have it at 3rd place for yourself personally.
Or maybe dont preorder...and wait for technical reviews or general reviews for the platform theyre playing on...highly important these days.
Nope. He is not responsible for the actions of developers/publishers and definitely not responsible for the stupid pre order culture that is the real culprit here. I cant wait for the next big fumble. The industry hasnt learned its lesson...or should I say gamers havent.
I played it and it was more or less perfectly fine.
Buggy...no different from the witcher series at launch. Im seeing the same type of hype for starfield on here. No way itll meet expectations.
The story was cool, the gunplay was average and the world building was great. Thats CDPR signature style.
I guess many here hopped on the CDPR train during the release of the Witcher 3...completely missing the history of the studio with Witcher 1 and 2.
...
Except the series s is dirt cheap. They may be inclined towards that console. It'll be interesting to see what happens when starfield releases.
Lots of people buy only 1 console...a single game can make a big difference for a lot of casuals.
@fishy fingers
Boy what you type with those fingers sure is fishy.
You mean for important for Bethesda to hit a home run for xbox's sake.
Let's not pretend Xbox had anything to do with starfield...they'll always be rememberes by the mass gaming market as the publisher that bought the IP to take it away from PlayStation...that's it.
