Theyre in 3rd place because they suck not because they lack the finances. It's not Sony's or Nintendo's fault that they can't create new successful IP or even successful sequels. There's only a few huge publishers out there and they've already purchased 2 of them. They're the only console platform that has purchased any large publisher.
That's not saying much...you can almost point at any game and it would be better than starfield.

Not true. They added more traversal options, added a seamless second player character transition. Juggling 2 Spiderman's , a bigger open world, more traversal, more scrope, etc...
That's not easily done. Only top end devs can manage that. Otherwise we would see companies like Bethesda constantly improve through their iterations....we do not. They don't improve ..they get w...

That's a general agreement across the board. That's how you know a game is actually great. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy other mediocre games of course.
General concerns in reviews need to happen more often and at least with Sony that seems to be consistent. Too bad they didn't come out at any point to say they weren't really looking at insomniacs in works p...

Larian just released a good RPG that is feature complete. It's not mind blowing but it is when compared to all the incomplete garbage released nowadays it also took them a really long time while testing it in early access for many years...which brings us to Bethesda....you call insomniacs ga...

Criticism isnt hate. Like usual with most fanboys of any category...some of us just want a better product in the future. The fact the xbox is running with the idea that people are happy with the game is disturbing. Been a fan of Bethesda since morrowind. No excuse for the state of the game.
That is the most common defense used to discredit valid criticism.
If those people played it then you'd discredit the criticism because they played it.
Cant really compare Starfield with Nier. Nier is a much better game in every category that is comparable. But yes that did it very well as well.
It's already irrelevant. The only people keeping it in the spotlight are media sites. Otherwise it would already be crickets.

Take your cookie though. But at least I'm glad youre happy about exclusivity deals. That's essentially what Xbox has done. Massive exclusivity deals with 3rd party developers.

They've yet to offer a single new game to their players. All they're offering so far are games that they would've already received. However, those of us without fanboy glasses can actually look at how Xbox is managing these "new" games...most have underwhelmed tremendously. Starfield and redfall for instance...
If your unit of measurement for success is the existence of the game then sure...it is successfully in existence.
As for new game plus. Yeah. as I've stated before...everything else seemed extremely boring so I sped through the main story in about 15-20hrs...most of it load screens and fetch quests. Decided to get as many powers to avoid having to get them in new game plus...extremely boring venture as you would know if you've played it. Then when the game was over...

Putting some blame on MS is not silly. They are the only platform that has pushed aggressively for an all digital future. Gamepass is also a huge part of that push.
Releasing an underpowered cheaper console that is all digital at the start of this gen is also a huge push to all digital.
Buying up tons and tons of developers to put their games on gamepass is also a huge push.
So yeah...its not silly.
