There's already a consequence. There's no need to bring out the pitchforks. People will avoid crap. At the end of the day we did fall for this bait and switch but it won't likely happen in the same way. I doubt there'll be much anticipation for their next game in the same way as this one.
We have to stop preordering that's for sure.
Buyers remorse is real ..had it for diablo 4...haven't touched that game since a couple of weeks after launch.
Starfield I played for a bit longer because it just takes so long to do crap there. Haven't touched it in weeks ...maybe a month...don't recall release date.
Well...didn't you guys say that it is the most anticipated game in the last decade? Stands to reason there's going to be more talk about it.
Not to mention...as we already know, people will trash something negative more than they'll praise something positive just like negative articles attract more attention than positive ones.
Who woulda thunk
Yeah. I'm glad you noticed he didn't say that they will...just that he aims... 🧐
Not saying they're faultless with those that followed that hype. Granted ive seen people disappointed about the no wall running or climbing...yet that was already made clear by them at one point.
People went wild with their expectations. The burn is almost entirely self inflicted and people felt horrible about their dumb decision to preorder before reviews for their platform were out. Easily avoided issue.
@shinoff
What exactly has changed so dramatically with cyberpunk? Campaign is the same. Just as good. Side content is the same. Just as good. Its the side features that got some love with the updates.
With starfield; every single component feels bad on its own. Thats extremely cold at the center.
Brand name is only as powerful as what it represents
Don you guys have phones? Lol
Game was finished. Campaign had a beginning and an end. Campaign was very good at launch.
Unfinished no. Broken sure. For comparison, once again, I bring up Starfield. That games campaign ends and feels unfinished. Lots of obvious questions left unanswered. Lots of elements rushed or cookie cutter. Missing factions that would obviously have been great to add. I've experienced more bugs in Starfield than when I first played cyberpunk.
Recently saw a video about how there was tons of made up hype over the game and things that were projected and never said would be in the game. Something to do with bad translations.
That said I never followed the hype much. I wasn't burned. I played and loved the game shortly after launch.
For perspective. Bethesda recently released a game in a similar situation technical wise and they haven't been slaughtered. And their game is far worse in ever...
Isn't this odd. I always expected Microsoft to purchase remedy. There seemed to be a partnership there.
Same thing with Bungie. The idea that the creators of their brand game now belongs to Sony is so silly.
MS has had great talent under their belt and actual partnerships with great talent. What did they do? Ignore it or let it get away. Instead they went off to buy studios they had little relationship with compared to others.
That said. Exci...
Zero creativity you mean? Talent shouldn't even be in that sentence.
In this whole time they've been purchasing studios we haven't seen a single game release to universal praise...except for maybe hifi rush...but that was shadow dropped and we all know MS didn't actually expect to be so well received.
Yes it is free. I'm getting it for free every single month I choose to subscribe.
...what new studios did he acquire? There's not a single new studio. Only already existing ones.
Fanboys never learn smh.
How about making a modern version... Nevermind. They'd have no idea how to handle that project. I think ID tech could do it though.
I can. It's a flop...see?
Ff16 wasn't received too well by final fantasy fans. Re4 is a remake.
Good job 👍
Yeah...competing against mortal Kombat 1 sure is tough.
That said...how many copies sold is better than best selling. That could be anyone's guess without numbers.
Like best selling as in 5million copies? 2 million?
Or you could enlighten people with your superior knowledge...but sure let's just run with not actually making a point.
Gamespot was spot on with this one. The game is boring throughout almost every activity. If you actually think about the design choices while you're playing you can immediately see what you will be doing and realize how uninteresting and shallow it all is.
They didnt manage to execute any single gameplay system properly. Questing is horrible, open areas are horrible, combat is not very engaging, story is shallow, ship combat is straight forward/shallow, leveling is less...
What you mean to say is that Starfield isn't broken. It's functional. So yeah not a 4/10 game but also not a 8/10 game.
It is absolutely a slog. And the more you play it the more it feels that way because it has glaring issues. It is a true RPG...as in you have to roleplay with voice and all to get any fun out of it.
