Halo was invented by Bungie before acquisition. Gears was the same case...let's not pretend those were the golden games on Xbox. They weren't. Halo and gears were big and with each iteration they got smaller and smaller in relevancy. And Xbox got less and less exclusives over time so it stands to reason the later entries would sell moderately well.

I would give it a 6/10 and that's irrespective of bugs.
Mine will be Spiderman 2 or Remnant 2...depends on what space in my own home I get to spend the most time.
Big difference being one game was always incredible and the other was hot garbage!

Huh? well as far as bugs I don't actually look at that in my personal scoring. So yes a 10/10 game would still be a 10/10 for me even with game breaking bugs.

Resistance can probably be what replaces gears of war in the industry but in all the good and better ways. Twisted metal could bring that destruction racing and car game back into play and could remain in the industry if well executed.

To a point. I think if you've bought something you're more likely to stick with it if it's a 7/10 game. However, if it's worse then I don't think people have a problem trading it back or tossing it. I paid for diablo 4...didn't try to keep on playing ...heck I gave Starfield much more of a chance than diablo 4 and I didn't buy Starfield.
A good game on Gamepass or any subscription keeps you hooked to the finish line.
I wouldn't say the game is generic. They have a good concept. The characters are generic and check off the stupid diversity boxes.
