Except you build a garden with cute fuzzy residents instead of a city. I could see why some people might like it but it was just too slow for me. I wish Rare would have worked on a Kameo or Perfect Dark Zero sequel instead of this. But MS seems hell bent on trying to turn this into their premier kid friendly franchise.

But It didn't actually beat out the SNES. The market was basically split in half between the 2 consoles. But most considered it a victory for Sega because prior to that the Nes had a ridiculous 90% market share.
Put about 35-40 hrs into it with only a 60% complete rating. Great game but thats enough GTA for me. Once the story was done I just have no motivation to play any more. Going on random kill missions or car hunting expeditions doesn't do it for me. MS can keep their DLC unless it has a lot of story behind it. I'll just put that money towards Saints Row.
Paid 1 year timed exclusive confirmed. Question is will MS pony up even more money for the same deal on the sequel. Price goes up with every Ps3 sold. Which is the flaw in MS's business plan of buying individual games vs studios. They save money in the short term but long term prospects of such a plan are questionable. I guess we'll see.
This money probably goes to paying off the patent settlement. I'm personally disappointed with the build quality. After playing a week of GTA4 the R2 button has lost a lot of its spring and the right analog stick is squeaking and no longer has smooth travel.

this generation. MS is only on pace to sell 4 million more units then the original Xbox in the same time frame. Considering they were first to market this time instead of last and that they sold around 8.5 million its first year without competition its not doing much better then the original Xbox. Its true that the 360 is more expensive and MS hasn't had a significant price drop in the US yet. But that has more to do with them not being able to drop the price because of the 1 billion they ...
A good poll has a 3% margin of error either way. So statistically 360 and Ps3 are in a dead heat picking up the scraps left by the Wii. Truly sad for everyone but Nintendo.
Its just that the Wii sells ridiculously well.
Sega has less of a chance in the hardware space then it does doing software only.
1. All of their beloved franchises besides Virtua Fighter and Virtua Tennis have gone to hell.
2. Most of their creative talent have fled to greener pastures. Or in the case of Yuji Naka disapeared completely.
3. He proposes Sega releases a super console. The most powerful on the market. MS has invested 21 billion and lost 6 billion on the Xbox project over 7 years. ...

I bought a sealed 360 and I found out it was a refurb. No writing on the box that stated it was a refurb either. How did I know? There was tape residue left in the area where the tamper sticker was. On top of that residue was a new tamper sticker with 2 black dots on it. Probably to signify to the repair centers that it was a refurb. It also had a manufacture date of 08/2006. But when I shined a light into the vents I saw the extra heat sink that only old consoles that have been repair...

Why sell hardware to people like you at a loss? You said you don't plan to buy any blu-ray discs and only a couple of Sony exclusives here and there. So why would they want your business at this point? They can sell one to people like you when they are making money on the hardware.
this fiscal year I assumed a price cut wasn't coming. I mean they sold 9.2 mill last year. Surely, if they planned on cutting the price they would sell more then an extra 800k units over last year with all the titles they have this year.
I bought a 250 gb drive and put it in my laptop. I then took the 120gb drive out of my laptop and put it in my PS3.
@Hella Whip I know what you mean. What does Sony make those screws out of? They strip so easy... I stripped 3 out of the 4 while being extremely careful. For anyone that attempts to do this be sure you have some need nose pliers handy to remove those stripped screws.
