I'm not necessarily drinking from this dude's jug of general loathing of Gamestop/EBGames but I can see where there are some frustrations with the company as a whole.

Firstly, who really cares that employees are allowed to "Rent Out" games? I sure as hell don't and would LOVE to be able to do that. As long as the game comes back in the same condition it left in and isn't sold as a "New game" BFD.

I personally think that th...

The Final Fantasy series USED to be the defacto standard by which ALL JRPGs (and even some USRPGs) were measured. FFX was the last truly good game in the FF series. Since then it's become more about Cut scenes and LINEAR gameplay.

If they want to make the Final Fantasy series relevant again, they need to look to the past to see what worked so well. Well planned out stories with twists and turns told through cut scenes and on screen dialogue that evoked emotion from the pl...

When did they think it was a good idea to make the 3rd game to begin with?

I shudder to think that Postal 2 sold enough copies to warrant not only a shit movie by a shit director but a 3rd kick at the can.

I'm not typically one to shit all over things but something about this game just feels wrong. They've taken Metal Gear and turned it into Devil May Cry. The Metal Gear Series was never about Hack n Slash which is the feeling I get from this. It should have stayed dead. If they really wanted to tell more of Raidens story, they could have made another game with him as the protagonist set in the proper Metal gear world.

Enjoy the show. We're live blogging too.

The biggest strong point in the AC series is without a doubt the story telling but story telling alone won't keep it afloat. If memory serves, Splinter Cell kinda went through a period where games came out each year for a few consecutive years making people grow tired of the franchise forcing them to take a step back and reinvent Sam Fisher which they did to varying degrees of success after a 3yr hiatus.

Well said Superman(Bubbs up sir) - There's alot of validity to your point about the Plastic Instrument games being a Fad and I really like that point. It could easily be argued either way.

As for the "Need" aspect, I'm not so sure there's a "Need" to release new games in franchises EVERY YEAR in some cases. The release of good quality DLC can keep games in the headlines well past it's initial release date. For example: Fallout 3 was an inc...

I'm right there with ya on getting a Desmond-centric title. There's just so much going on in the real world, it's a shame that we don't get to see more of it. How do his memories really correlate with what the final payoff will be? Maybe this is what Ubisoft has planned for the series finale? I guess time will only tell.

I don't mind your post in anyway but sadly you're gonna have to hear...

I actually really disliked Bioshock. I never said that it was a "fault" so much as it's a nice to have.

I've been doing alot of the side quests and missions in order to level up as best as I can. I know the fit is going to hit the shan and I want to be as prepared for it as possible. That includes having better proficiencies and amazing weapons and armor.

Agreed - a game this size would be incredibly fun with one other person. I don't consider it to be a huge issue, just one that I'd like to see fixed in the future.

The thing about what you say is that yes it's an older engine but it still works for the game. There were still moments that had me slack-jawed. Just look at the NYC Level. Incredible. The Middle East with a Sand Storm barreling down on the city - Both frightening and beautiful at the same time.

How many other titles are using older engines? Noone seems to bitch about those if the game looks good. Has the CoD franchise set the bar soooo high that each iteration needs to b...

I thought the game was an incredibly good conclusion to the story. Some fall, some survive just like in war. Let's leave you with this little tidbit and you can decide for yourself if I played the title or not when you finally do the campaign.

I'm not a professional writer nor have I ever claimed to be. A long drawn out review wasn't worth it especially since I've not had the chance to get online that much due to time constraints between this, Uncharted 3 and ...

This is no surprise and I'm suspect as to wether or not this is a standard Team Bondi. From what I've heard its a Rockstar thing. A buddy of mine who was working on Bully was sometimes sleeping at the office to get deadlines complete in time for the crunch they were given.
100hr work weeks were no stranger to him during the development of that game.

You can't give EA much credit for Dragon Age - it was in development for a very long time and actually was conceptualized and started on prior to EA acquiring them.
