LOL. that cracked me up
fair enougn but you have to at least agree to some degree that he spends too much time trying to make fancy plot twists that make little sense until he shoe horns in an explanation.
I liked the Original Playstaion look and even liked the PS2. PS3 was a balls poor design though..and to be honest, the sliding door on the slim PS3 design is garbage. Go back to basics in my opinion. too much emphasis on the look.
OMG!! It looks like a VCR with a beveled edge at the front. That would be an epic win by Sony!
If only MS had added that corner to the front of their machine it might have been deemed as a pretty machine by the majority of N4G users.
Seriously....looks mean squat and you all know it.
Does Kojima bug anyone else even a little bit the way he bothers me? I mean, he has some great ideas but his stories are so goddamn convoluted that I pretty well just forget the story even happened and skip the story sequences because I can't for the life of me remember any pf the 2 million story arcs he;s introduced in the previous titles.
That would be unfortunate on so many levels
u,u,d,d,l,r,l,r,b,a,select, sta rt...We sued to love using that code, then dying just so we could take our friends extra lives on him.
I've got many consoles. Multiples of them even. I like the unique variety each one brings to the table and don't want any of them to fail. Wether it's the exclusive titles for each, the new and exciting features/interfaces or the way it allows us to connect with our friends and family for an adventure regardless of their location.
I have my favorites but typically that changes with each generation. At one time it was NES, then Genesis, then PlayStation then Dreamc...
Where was it stated that Sony had Anti-used game policies in place? I don't think anyone(from SOny) has said definitively one way or the other. I suspect, that they're going to leave that up to publishers much like MS is because I really think it's the publishers that are driving this sort or trend. It's just a matter of who is going to pull the trigger first. MS just played their card and acknowledged this is how it's going to be.
Nope. Now can we get these lame types of stories off N4G?
A proper revisit to the Contra franchise is long overdue. Personally, I would absolutely LOVE to see a modern revision.
Mandatory install always was a major bone of contention for me with the PS3 as well...those installs took so effing long..and then the mandatory updates after also took an ungodly amount of time to complete.
Uhmmm, they need it because a) games need more space and b) nowadays ISPs are screwing their customers with seriously denutted data caps. Many of which would be crushed with just one game download or 40GB.
and since I know I'm going to get pointless disagrees here, let me prove it...
Here's my lame ass ISP
Xplornet - 1.5Mbps 5 GB total data for $39.99
or the next step up is 5Mbps with 20 whopping GB of data for just $59.99 o.0
...
That's cool and I realize they can;t necessarily rely on the cloud network being there..though...maybe they can rely on it with the new system.
It is kinda sickening to think about the cost of a well built collection isn't it? I have 300 Xbox 360 games, 100 Xbox, 25 PS2, 40 PS3, about 60 for the dreamcast, 10 for the Sega CD, 10 for the Genesis/Sega 32x and various other games for the PC...I bet my mortgage would be much lower if it wasn't for videogames.
Then I have my DVD/BluRay collection and my VHS collection previous to that.
***EDIT***
@Daves...hilarious how people jus...
Just for the exclusives...the only reason I have a PS3...
I'm reading right now while pooping...God I love tablet PCs.
On topic, I'm on his side. I'm concerned about somethings but I think in the end it;s all going to come out in the wash and the good will outweigh the bad....Or MS is going to get totally pumped from behind with no lube or foreplay by PS4 and they'll have to do away with some of the features via firmware updates.
I suspect EA will be one of the first to jump on this and they'll either a) prevent reselling of certain triple A titles for a finite amount of time or b) allow for the resale of said triple A titles but charge a $5-10 reactivation fee.
Personally, I was more interested in an online market place where you could post the games for sale and MS could grab their $5 fee and pass it along to whoever/wherever the transaction fee is supposed to go. I hate how insulting EBGames is...
I'll have both systems. While I'm not thrilled about some of the new features, I am intrigued with the 10 family member game sharing thing and it has given me a little more hope than I had a few weeks ago. I am also interested to know how the cloud computing can help to juice up my gaming experience.
I have 1.7 TB of free disk space...buuuut my ISP only allows me to download 100GB per month with out charging me something like $4.99 per GB after sooooo.....Looks like I won't be downloading this
