he doesn't come across as a nice decent guy because he's a pompous arrogant know-it-all ass. He thinks he's the end all be all of game development because he had such a meteoric rise to fame and success. Now that his star has fallen, he talks crap to anyone who will listen.
I can't see how it would be that much a pain in the ass for retailers. They change the amount in the Database, and the people who paid in full up front get refunded or they get told they can apply that amount to anything else they may be interested in. The people who have only put down the bare minimum, are non the wiser and they end up paying less when it's go time.
Either way I can;t see it as much of a pain to the retailers.
Probably not. It would be nice but I think it's pretty unlikely and they're continue to spin it as a "we include Kinect" kinda justification.
Both my wife and I are gamers. Sometimes we play together. Need one for the living room, one for the home theater and the 3rd just in case. I got them all from different stores to make sure that I actually do get them but I went the first day they were available and ordered them. I there's low supply, who am I to turn down the money of an idiot who has more money than brains?

Feels to me like this is the next logical step for the series. It has to evolve to keep it from getting stagnant and this seems like an amazing way of doing that.
I'm not a real big fan of the PS3 controller either. feels cheap and too light weight

I've been a very vocal supporter but I think that given the sheer number of high-end headsets(which, for the most part, are still a relatively NEW accessory category) that are now available that use Blutooth, many of us who purchased these expensive accessories felt that the future of their use was all but a certainty because of that connectivity. I think that's been a big reason why so many people have been pissed off about it. ...

I'm not pinning the blame on Mattrick but I can't help but wonder if he was the final say on all the things that people have gripes about and now that he's leaving, the higher ups are saying " fix this mess".
LOL. Well played sir. I was thinking the same thing. This is a huge win for anyone looking to pick up on day one since I fully expect that there won't be any adapters for people like myself who have high end sets right away.
It sounds like a fairly plausible and realistic date but it seems a little late in the month. I figured early November. If this holds true, then it must have something to do with either launch titles not being ready or their projected features availability.
I'm pretty lukewarm to Infamous... I got bored of the first one and never bothered with the sequel because of that. Hopefully they overhauled the game to make it more interesting.
This is a half way decent list but they forgot Titan fall and Dead Rising 3... I would have had one of those way before adding Forza.
I'm not sure about Astro or Triton but, all Turtle Beach needs to do is make a blutooth adapter that plugs into the controller similar to what they have now. Problem solved for those users. Even still if all I get is an adapter to plug in my TB to the controller via a cable then I'll be ok with that too. I just don't want my $350 headset to be rendered useless. My kid's room is directly above my home theater and I like to play late at night so I need one regardless.
I read that a few places too for high end headsets like the Triton, Astro and TBs.
I can't see it being that extreme at all. To do something like that would nearly render so many completely and utterly useless.

Will some of the policies come back? Probably in some way yes but, they'll be phased in and probably just for DD(Digitally Distributed) copies of games which I predict will be made more attractive with a lower cost and for the family sharing that will no doubt be back at some point. This image is far from exciting though even from a graphical standpoint. It just doesn't POP or say "next gen" in that supposed leak. Hopefully it's just a low res image but looks like PS Vita to me.
