Both Switch 2 and PS5 almost outselling Xbox by x10, Phil wanted to make dozens of multiplatform IPs exclusive and instead got the complete collapse of Xbox consoles.

Eh, just no. The 360 started out strong with a big list of money hatted timed exclusives, but it eventually declined in to halo gears and Forza after 2009 and the PS3 ended up with a far better exclusive library in the end.
This is what lead to PS3 outselling the 360 despite a year less on the market and carried momentum through to PS4.

Literally where are you pulling this info from? MS never reveal the xbox profits, they hide console sales and GP numbers, basically anything of substance. Sony and Nintendo on the other hand are much more transparent, I wonder why that is.
What went well for them this gen? The X1 was a very mediocre system and they've sold not even as many as that, you should be demanding...

We saw this in the court documents, they wanted to spend Sony out the games business and make many multiplatform games exclusive. Phil himself said Bethesda games would be available where gamepass is, i.e not on playstation.
And really with the false equivalences still? Where is the comparison between some timed exclusivity deals (which MS did to a massive scale in the 360 era) to spending over 80 billion dollars buying up huge, multiplatform publ...
Exclusives are antiquated... for MS as soon as Phil's dream of making all those bought up IPs exclusive (court docs) went up in flames.
