I think we need a bit more context, Remake sold 7 million units, pretty stellar, but that was across the massive PS4 install base at the height of COVID, and then eventually PS5 and PC.
Rebirth is likely somewhere around 3 million units sold going by the latest estimates, not bad, but not as high as hoped, which is a shame as it's an excellent game, but it also relies on a playing Remake, which was divisive to some fans, and hasn't released in the best economic env...
But jez said it was :(
'When asked why his studio doesn't want to release an action game on Xbox, he replied that "nobody needs this platform".'
Ooof.
Hopefully they dump the terrible bungie management in the process.
Jez is basically the obscure/daily alt creating troll of twitter, he's a massive console warrior who speculates, flip flops all the time, just a snippet of his podcasts and his ridiculous takes shows how much of a joke he is.
Now that's not to say this is false or that he isn;t reliable, he can be, likely has sources within MS marketing it's speculated, but he comes across as a raving MS mouthpiece, it's right to not take absolutely everything he says as gos...
Yep, the headline is really misleading here, I have a Turkish friend who tells me inflation is crazy and their currency is extremely weak there at the moment.
This is massive shame, especially after recently learning that the NST sold a massive 20 million copies, and 4 sold a better than previously thought 5 million copies, which would have sold more imo if it was priced a tad lower and along side current gen console launch.
Videogamer seems determined to bring the game. The game sold over 12 million copies, was huge for months, it's blown expectations out of the water, it's been a massive success for Sony, not every live service game will pull CoD/Fortnite like numbers forever.
How does increasing the price and removing day one games for the 'standard' tier relieve pressure? But if you look at the article writer it tells you what you need to know lol.
More xbox copium from gamersocial.
This is only a UK and Ireland thing, it's silly and I don't know why it's a requirement though.
Obscure, is that you? Copying and pasting this same crap over and over.
I think anyone with half a brain knows the real reason why they don't want to release this on xbox, given software sales on there in recent years, it's not like they are missing out on much anyway.
Guy is delusional, a newish account starts spewing fanboy nonsense immediately and through his entire time here, wouldn't surprise me if he's an alt that's got away with it longer.
Hell, I remember a comment where he dismissed every PS5 game that was on PC, so by his logic, he also needs to dismiss the entire library of the Series consoles. Look at the current slew of games that have come to PS5 this year, while xbox has only released the massive flop that was h...
'Xbox gaming revenue increased by 51 percent year-on-year to $5.45 billion. This includes "55 points of net impact from the Activision acquisition." This is better than Microsoft's expectations, which forecasted revenue to grow in the low 40s percent, with 45 points of impact from Activision Blizzard.'
Absolutely laughable, so congrats to MS for spending 70 billion?
'Nintendo has been on a decline. Nintendo annual gross profit fo...
So they sell 86 million disc games, and your conclusion is that there is no incentive to keep discs around for a while? The layoffs were not related to the commercial division of Blu-rays, stop trying to turn this in to something it's not.
This isn't Xbox where physical sales have completely collapsed, still plenty of physical games to be sold for playstation, despite the widening gap.
I hope not, PS still shifts a significant amount of physical copies, it's not like xbox where disc sales are practically dead there. I'll keep supporting it for as long as it's around, but I'll be dead before I shell out £70 on a digital copy of any game that I can't sell, trade or lend out.

'It could be that by allowing other streaming services onto Xbox consoles it's bringing Sonys platforms into the spotlight with regulators so eventually further down the line we could have Gamepass on PlayStation.'
I'll have whatever you're smoking please.
Think it's pretty obvious to most that Hellblade 2 was a flop, it was setup to fail by skipping playstation and being sent to die on gamepass, especially on a platform where they openly mock playstation 'movie games', this being way more movie than any PS game.
*xbox sells terribly while PS5 and even switch moves big numbers*
Xbox Fans: Damn all consoles are struggling, times changing, MS' big failure the last 2 gens was secretely them playing 4D chess.
