Unfortunately you'll just have xbox trolls spinning the narrative that it's Sony's fault they didn't meet SE's lofty expectations, as if Xbox would move the needle remotely, and FF16 current player count on steam isn't exactly lighting up the world, but it probably makes sense to at least go day and date with PC.
Could maybe look to Switch 2, but FF16 would've had to be severely gimped in every area to run on PS4 Base-Pro level hardware. 16 sold...
PS4 level undocked, around PS4-Pro level docked, not too bad, not sure about there being 2 models though, if the smaller screen is cheaper I'll go for that as I play docked 99% of the time anyway.

All fair points, everyone is different. I guess I was just trying to argue, in a long winded way that there is still plenty of arguments for owning consoles, even a higher end one like this for some, I'm just not a fan of some of the arguments being presented.
As someone who even has a decent level PC I agree. A PC equivalent performance is still going to cost more, without all the in box optimisations the Pro software will have, sure it's a bit closer now, but the Pro is for Playstation console enthusiasts, mainly aimed at existing owners, and without an equivalent powerful system coming from MS, it's not aimed at PC owners, it's not a mass market product.

There is a market for thi, the enthusiasts that must have the best playstation console experience, I can still seeing it selling reasonably well. For me £700 is just a bit too far especially being only digital. I kinda feel if it was £600, even digital only, it'd have been just about acceptable. Cut down the storage to 1tb and slashing it down even by £50 would have been something at least, this is a bit of a mistep when you can grab a digital only PS5 for £380-90, alm...
I'm sorry but that price is crazy, and what's with the garbage price conversion? 700 USD is like £530, even if you include sales tax we get screwed over yet again outside NA, and digital only too, no thanks.

I was able to play this early, please buy and support this game, it is absolutely fantastic. Full of charm, fun and nostalgia, it's been a long time since I've wanted a game to succeed as much as this, I was left with a beeming smile every minute I played it.
