That's not the release date, 20th august is just when the news about it was posted on the website, there's no release date there.
The game is 5 years too late to the hero shooter trend, the fact that it was in dev for 8 years is staggering as well, definitely feels like a misstep from the Jim Ryan era, feel bad for the Devs if they eventually get closed down because of this
Would make sense, and I'd be all for it if it helps sustain the franchise long term.
'Sony is ALREADY doing what MS did in case you haven’t noticed.'
How exactly? Please show me where they are putting every game day and date on a subscription service and on PC like MS do? Who knows what the future brings, but right now Sony are simply not doing the exact same thing
*xbox console ales continue to plummet while PS5 tracks above PS4 and the Switch sells over 140m units*
Xbox fanboys: Folks, the industry is changing, consoles are dying, MS going full 3rd party. PS is also equally doomed for uh, some reason. MS spending 80 billion to get games they were getting anyway, only to start releasing them on PS as well, and gutting their console and software sales was a genius 4D chess play to move the industry forward, uhh, somehow.
'They want GP subscriptions instead.'
Where are they going to come from if their console business slowly dies? The majority of GP subs are from Xbox consoles, PC has not adopted it en masse despite being available there for years. If the console business dies that will be a huge blow to gamepass.
Nah, just the same sad Xbox fanboy idiot and his daily alt accounts to troll the site.
But we know one thing at least, it's going to be closer than Xbox is.
It's a newly created account from the same resident troll who has nothing better to do with his time, not surprised having only had Hellblade 2 to play recently.
500? I can't see that, especially for only around PS4 level power, a bit expensive especially for the slightly less hardcore Nintendo audience.
This guy is such an MS suck up, Phil could shoot a puppy and he'd spin in to somehow being a good thing.
I've not had drift, but I'd say I don't play too many stick intensive games. Drift is unacceptable though, I mean look at the joycons, 7 years on and they still won't fix the drift issues.
That and people talk of all the games xbox has coming this year, while PS5 apparently has nothing, when this year so the PS5 has had a vastly better release of games, even if not first party. Palworld was a big game but everyone just played that on gamepass on the xbox side, and didn't move the hardware or sub needle.
All they released themselves is Hellblade 2 which was a massive flop and little more than a fart in the wind.
*xbox sells terribly while PS5 and even switch moves big numbers*
Xbox Fans: Damn all consoles are struggling, times changing, MS' big failure the last 2 gens was secretely them playing 4D chess.
I think we need a bit more context, Remake sold 7 million units, pretty stellar, but that was across the massive PS4 install base at the height of COVID, and then eventually PS5 and PC.
Rebirth is likely somewhere around 3 million units sold going by the latest estimates, not bad, but not as high as hoped, which is a shame as it's an excellent game, but it also relies on a playing Remake, which was divisive to some fans, and hasn't released in the best economic env...
But jez said it was :(
'When asked why his studio doesn't want to release an action game on Xbox, he replied that "nobody needs this platform".'
Ooof.
Hopefully they dump the terrible bungie management in the process.
Jez is basically the obscure/daily alt creating troll of twitter, he's a massive console warrior who speculates, flip flops all the time, just a snippet of his podcasts and his ridiculous takes shows how much of a joke he is.
Now that's not to say this is false or that he isn;t reliable, he can be, likely has sources within MS marketing it's speculated, but he comes across as a raving MS mouthpiece, it's right to not take absolutely everything he says as gos...
Yep, the headline is really misleading here, I have a Turkish friend who tells me inflation is crazy and their currency is extremely weak there at the moment.
This is massive shame, especially after recently learning that the NST sold a massive 20 million copies, and 4 sold a better than previously thought 5 million copies, which would have sold more imo if it was priced a tad lower and along side current gen console launch.
I think they'll do it this way to keep the price down a bit and use the existing drive for digital models, I'd personally rather have a standard disc model, but it's probably to save on manufacturing costs and such, assuming this is all correct info.
