Halo Killer?
Okay I'm ready to get flamed for this but.... Killzone 3 will never be the best shooter ever. The fanbase isn't there, the first two games were far from great, the online community is small and the controls are very bad. I am sure Killzone 3 will get a lot of hype, probably not as much as Killzone 2 did, I mean we heard about how it was going to be for years and years and how it was the "Halo Killer" and how amazing it was and then it came out, got some nice reviews, sold on...
Sony sure is pushing 3-D. I will never go for it. I don't want to wear retarded looking glasses, not in the movies and not at home.
Stopgaps like 3-D and motion controls aren't going to be the next big thing, more like a way to try to push consoles already out.
I don't think the average person wants 3-D. Especially if your over a certain age. I think 3-D is going to be a fad just like it was before.
Now with an official release date I can pre-order mine! I am going to get the Special Edition and a standard one to actually play!
Good story. I predicted Lost Odyssey 2 earlier in the year to make an appearance at E3. Now is as good a time as any to throw another Xbox 360 exclusive out there. I loved the first one and I don't play video games that "Critics" like or are paid to like. I give almost any game a fair chance and then decide for myself. Lost Odyssey 1 was a damn good game.

One of the most complex and interesting characters in all of video games! It's been really cool to unlock the mysteries around him and I was saddened by what happened to his Wife Maria in Gears 2. I cant wait to see what twists and turns he takes as a character in Gears 3. Nice read!
I agree with this list almost 100%. I thought Mario Kart Double Dash was the best and most innovative one however.
Move is clearly going after the casual market, you can spout Socom or whatever all you want, but the bottom line is Move wouldn't have been thought of or designed had Nintendo not crushed the competition with the Wii.
The biggest difference is the Move wont have Mario and Zelda backing it. Those Nintendo fans are rabid and always buy 1st party games in the tens of millions. Going to be tough for Sony to compete.
Modern Warfare 2 isn't a terrible game as is. I mean there is a reason it scored near perfect scores in reviews. They just tried to hard to please everyone and ended up alienating some of their die hard fans. Valve is good, but not sure they would have done anything better. The Left 4 Dead series is amazing though.
Most of the people in the comment section are just listing popular games that have active online communities. It's easy to say Halo or COD should just die, but the online communities are in the millions, so I doubt those people want them to die.

Lost Planet 2 wasn't terrible. Final Fantasy was a bit of a letdown though. Not a bad read though.
Finally an article that cant really sport fanboys. 2 PS3 games and 2 Xbox 360 games. Were all gamers.
His list is terrible. I mean if everyone hated Halo so much their wouldn't be 300,000 people on it every day and certainly not 3 million different users on the Reach beta. People hate that it's successful and has staying power, aside from COD, Halo is the only game that keeps an active online community years and years after launch.
Also Mario Kart is good clean fun and it does take skill, you just have to wait for the right time to make your move.
This is good news. We now have a date to get excited about! Halo Reach is going to sell well and be an amazing entry into the series. Often imitated but never duplicated the Halo franchise has become one of my favorite FPS franchises over the last 9+ years. Cant wait to play the finished version.
Is it a secret they will announce a sequel to Uncharted 2? I mean they can announce it at E3, probably isn't going to come out for a year or two. Maybe it's a PSP title or something. It would be rushing things to get out a game any sooner.

I try to tell people that you can get a year XBL card for under $30 now days. I have never paid the full retail price on a year card. last time I bought a year card for $24. Not bad, glad to see the price drop even more on such a premium service.
Looking good. I see why Nintendo went with fun and innovative this generation. I liked the Gamecube though, it was underrated and pretty powerful. I hope they make a new console next time around with high powered graphics and motion controls, but make the motion controls "OPTIONAL" so it pleases the Wii fans and the hard core fans. Also they need to add online play and get rid of the friends code thing.
