If HD-DVD was built on the 360 it might not have tanked. The add on's from Sega like the Sega CD and the 32 X were bad timing really. The 32X should have been it's own console, the Saturn was already in production. Actually a big reason the Dreamcast (While I loved it) failed, was because the people didn't trust the Sega Brand anymore due to their quickly pulling the support for said add on's.
The Jaguar never had any fans or owners, I never knew anyone with it, so of ...
So no 4-D graphics? WTF?
At least Microsoft has the majority of people talking about them, right or wrong.
I am sure that is exactly what they want. Lets just say it's right $150 and let's say the Move is $99.99, if you want to play with friends at your house with Move, you'll need more controllers, if you want to play with friends at your house with Natal you need nothing else. So in the long wrong $150 isn't too bad.
Personally I think this is all just a ploy to test reaction,...
Mass Effect wont go to PS3. Not that I'm really against the end of 3rd party exclusives, but with Bioware working on Mass Effect 3 I doubt they have time to port them all over and they wouldn't throw an audience into the trilogy in act 3. Especially since so much of Mass Effects revolves around your previous decisions and actions and you import those to the next game etc...
Why they even go forward with this is a mystery. I went on it like twice, mostly it's pathetic male gamers trying to chase down people who "look like women". Racist remarks all over and general BS.
It wasn't the most well thought out idea IMO. Why add things to PSN instead of fixing whats already on their? Voice chat=Horrid, lag, interface is terrible.
KOTOR 1& 2
Star Wars Battlefront 2
COD4
NFL 2K5
Mass Effect
Halo
Zelda Ocarina of Time
Probably some more thrown in as well.
HD-DVD might have turned out differently if they included the player in the XBox 360. It was a bit clunky for a add on, though I have to say, I was able to buy one and I got about 500 HD-DVD's rather cheap off Ebay. HD-DVD's look the same as Blu Ray as far as quality, so if it had been included maybe things are different. Anyway, Microsoft see's what the public is saying, they might have "Leaked" it to get a gauge on people's reactions. Personally I think were gonna ...
$600 US dollars!
That 2 ounce kiddie toy that was the six axis controller
Those retarded baby commercials for PS3
Claiming Rumble was a thing of the past
Claiming "4-D" graphics
this list could go on and on.
3-D isn't the future, it's the past. It will never catch on in the way HDTV did. My grandparents and parents can enjoy HDTV, they wouldn't want to wear glasses to watch Television or see movies though. So right away you take pretty much anyone over the age of 40, then there are people under 18 who cant afford it, parents who (might) have it, probably wont let their young kids use it, it can strain the eyes, then there are the people who already wear glasses. It's a small perce...
This is a nice list, but most of the games were bundled with hardware. I know also a lot of people on these boards weren't old enough to remember stuff like Duck Hunt and the original Super Mario Brothers, but it was revolutionary at the time and helped pave the way. I was surprised to not see Halo on their, but I guess it goes to show what a grip Nintendo has and pretty much always have had, I mean were playing a Gamecube with motion controls now, so Nintendo got the last laugh with that...
Anyone using Natal isn't allowed to talk about it. They sign papers for sure. So the "Red Ball" game is most definitely not the only game being shown to these people. The developers who are being blown way by the technology is really impressing me, I mean I expected to hear it was good or functional, but everyone that has tried it want's it. Heck, I think Microsoft should say there is a "Shortage" on it around the Holidays just to create even more demand. I love ho...
How is it over if Natal fails? They still have 40+ million consoles sold with a very solid lineup coming out.
A slim Xbox 360 regardless of Natal WILL sell. I have a feeling this is going to be great and Microsoft is going to get a big boost from it. Just imagine if Millions get sold this year.... I think a lot of Sony fans are going to be eating humble pie....
Oh yeah, it's not like everyone and their mother is interested in what Natal can do. It's also not like a slim 360 would sell either right? And Gears 3, Halo Reach, Fable 3 are all just trash that wont sell any either right? Sheesh, Microsoft sucks so bad...I mean 40+ million consoles, great games, the best online and voice chat system...darn those people!
The people who have gotten to use Natal are all impressed. Last year after E3 it was working with Burnout Paradise, They used it on Jimmy Falon and their are a lot of people in the business and stars that have no affiliation with Microsoft saying it's something special.
I know a lot of Sony fans are worried and all eyes will be on Microsoft at E3, like them or hate them EVERYONE is interested in this thing. While everyone already knows what the "Move" does, everyone can ...
I thought the 2005 E3 was embarrassing for Sony as well, I mean seriously CGI that they tried to pass off as "Real in game footage" That should be it.
Everyone knows that ALL console fans will be watching the 360 E3 shows. Whether your a Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft fan. Everyone wants to know what Natal is offering. So people can continue to play it coy or whatever, but bottom line is people in general are going to be paying the most attention to the MS shows.
They could very well wow us with Natal, Natal titles, Gears 3, Halo reach, Crackdown 2, Fable 3, Ninety Nine Nights 2, Perfect Dark, Blue Dragon 2, Lost Odyssey 2, Dead Or Ali...
4 years later....
It's speculation, it's the same story posted again, just a different source. You cant even buy an arcade anymore, so I'm guessing they are fazing them out and the slim Xbox 360 will be the new "Arcade"
People get all upset with no conformation and without even seeing what it has to offer. Microsoft is loving the free publicity leading up to E3 I am sure, all eyes are going to be on them. If anything they are going to be willing to take a loss. Nowhere did it ment...
It's looking great! I think Crackdown 2 is an underrated Xbox 360 game and I've been excited about part 2 for a while now. Always happy to see more 1st party MS games show up. To those thinking Crackdown wasn't good or bought simply for the Halo beta, you need to take a look at the original scores and I'm guessing this one reviews well too. It's really interesting and well done.
I've said mostly the same thing. We all know Microsoft saw Sony succeed with a slim version and a price drop. Now if MS were really smart they would Give us a slim 360 and Natal and bundle them together for less then an Elite right now. That would sell amazingly and really widen the gap a bit and refresh the 360 a bit.
