Third party exclusives are going to be a thing of the past. First party wont be. I think it's a business, it's nothing to do with loyalty, it's all about money. If Rockstar had decided to put GTA4 on just the PS3, they'd have lost out on the majority of the sales, as it sold far better on the 360. So it's like, do you want to make more money? or not? To me, I'd always chose to make the money. That being said, nobody's exclusives touch Nintendo's in quality or s...
At least not all the people are deluded. Killzone 2 online community was small when it launched and is a dead zone now days, only a year later. I think if Killzone 2 took 5 years to develop then it might be rushing things a bit to show it off now.
Your asking for trouble.
Syphon Filter was announced for the (PS2) for later this year, so I wouldn't expect a PS3 version.
Sony will try to hype their 3-D but the average person doesn't want to wear stupid glasses a...
I know a lot of people who will be happy that this game might be announced, but a new developer is like a whole new game. I doubt it's like it was before, probably not class based, but custom classes like the PSP versions. A larger community, which is something Star Wars Battlefront games have never had, I mean they sold well, but even when SWBF2 came out on PS2 it had less then 1500 people on it. Xbox version had more, but still not a lot compared to today's games like COD MW2 etc..S...
It started out great, then came the glitches and problems. Right now it's as fun as it's been in a while, still over 1 million users daily on the 360 version, so it's still got the most players of any online game.
The party system is still messed and my biggest complaint. You can never get a full party in a room together, sometimes players in your party wind up on the other team or not in the room at all.
I'd say it deserves a 9 or so now. Still better then BFB...
I swear this site is all PS3 fanboys. Let me enlighten you. The XBox 360 had a 5.6 million unit lead when the PS3 launched. Right now, years and years later, it's still at 5.6 million units. PS3 did make up ground, but only because they had fallen even farther behind. They wont catch up this generation and certainly wont reach the 100 million units sold mark that they predicted when it launched.
Where I live in Florida, we have PS3's everywhere, Walmart, Gamestop, Play N tr...
I got it for Blue Ray and media, then they took out Linux which sucks, but I still use it for what I originally bought it for which is Blue Ray and media. I'm not into their online or games so much though.
If Sony puts all the tech that is rumored in the PSP2 then anything under $300 would be a huge loss for Sony. I am not sure they can afford to lose another billion a year with that.
The PSP GO failed because it tried to offer only digital downloads, which most people want a physical copy and also the price. $250 is a lot of a hand held and the PSP lacks quality games.
Takes more then good graphics to make a great game.
Alan Wake is that rare game that comes out, it's not like anything I've ever played and it totally brings the creepiness factor to a new level. I loved it! Some of the best graphics, story, voice acting I've seen. MUST OWN for Xbox 360 owners!
Buying a 360 is a great purchase and I hope Microsoft shows off a redesigned Slim 360, that would make people on the bubble feel safer about getting one. I've had red Ring once and a Broken Disk Drive once, both covered by the warranty. 7 days later I got a replacement and Microsoft points and a 3 month XBL card. While my 360 was down I could have played my PS3, but it's online is just so bad I couldn't bring myself to do it. I think people really enjoy the games and online and th...
This isn't a surprise, PS3 exclusives in general don't sell that well, when your best selling game for the console is like 4 million, of course you don't have a "console pusher" Halo, Gears of War, now those are console pushers.
@Sir_Ken_Kutaragi__
If by downfall you mean successful re-brand then I agree. Microsoft is the company working for the Americans honestly. I am not of a fan of the things Sony puts out, Microsoft has more money to spare then Sony, so I don't think MS or Xbox 360 are going anywhere anytime soon. It's not like MS announced 4-D graphics or made outrageous claims like Ken Kutaragi did, hope he enjoys his "window seat". Why don't people get that Microsoft and Nintend...
Yeah! You tell them Sony! You sure showed us! You continue to be in last place! Yeah! You continue to be the only company to lose money annually! Yeah! Your losing more and more exclusives because companies realize they sell better on the 360! yeah! Go Sony Go!
ESPN NFL 2K5 was the best Sports game ever made. Take two wanted to charge $19.99 for their sports titles and EA got mad at them and purchased the NFL license. We shouldn't have to shell out $50-$60 a year for a sports game with updated rosters and little else. I haven't bought a Madden game since they did that, though I bought the 2005 Madden cause My boy Ray Lewis was on the cover.
There hasn't been a good football game since ESPN NFL 2K5. EA and Madden screwed over themselves and football fans with their greed.
Oddworld would be a welcome addition to the 360 this generation, those were great games back in the day. How about a new Conker game on the 360? Forza 4, Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive, Shenmue 3, Killer Instinct 3, Lost Odyssey 2, Blue Dragon 2, Shadow Complex 2 etc... Most importantly...Star Wars Battlefront 3!
I'm excited about it, I am not sure where all the hate comes from, I mean if it's not your thing then why post about it? why get down on those that want it and think it's quality?
I had the ye toy for my son on PS2 years ago and Natal is NOTHING like that. People are just trying to start something, I mean the more blatant rip off altogether is Move, seriously, I love how Sony fans don't even acknowledge that it's more similar to the Wii mote then Natal is to the ey...
I'd be interested in Natal for the voice commands and media as well. The idea that I can use it with Fable 3 is appealing though. So I am excited to see what games the companies have for it. As for glasses Free 3-D, I doubt that's possible. I know the 3-DS is doing it, but you have to be like 3 inches to the screen. 3-D isn't really going to take off like people are hoping or thinking. The average person wont want to wear glasses at home to watch tv or play a game.
Keep the hype coming. I'm looking forward to it!
3-D isn't going to be the "Next big thing" like companies are hoping. The average person doesn't want to wear stupid glasses to enjoy a movie, show or video game. I don't need fake effects coming at me trying to immerse me in a story, I just need solid games and or movies to do that.
No thanks, never buy one or wear glasses.
