Not sure if...sarcastic or delusional
A dualshockers article not about The Order?!? I'm kidding :) Seriously though, this is great news. Oceanhorn is a fanastic game and I'm very glad a wider audience now have the chance to experience it.
This is such an amazing game in terms of the tone and atmosphere. Yes, it clearly takes inspiration from other games like The Walking Dead. But Rival Games has really made this one their own. So keen for the second episode!
That would actually be pretty sick. Those sort of developer-game combinations could result in some incredibly awesome experiences!
I could totally see Frictional Games taking this project on and doing a damn fine job of it. Simogo was a bit out of left field to me. I think the sort of game they would create may not fit the whole Condemned theme. But who knows? Regardless, I just want someone to take this bad boy on and continue the legacy!
I've just started the detail today. Absolutely loving it! I'm also pretty keen to see how children of morta stacks up. It's looking pretty good over on the the kickstarter so far.
Wow what a fascinating insight into this world. I'd love to actually get there myself one day.
I think this is a fantastic move. For whatever reason I really wasnt enamoured with Republique on my iPad. It just didn't seem to work. Not really sure how to put my finger on it. But i'd be willing to give it another go on pc. And its shaping up to be dropdead gorgeous!
I haven't found them terribly intrusive. I think they're pretty well implemented.
I've been playing since its soft launch. Absolutely loving it so far. Really well implemented controls. Its so easy to get the controls wrong on touch devices, but hats off to him. Thoroughly recommend giving it a go.
I think that may be my most favourite game of all time. In fact I started playing it again from the beginning after finishing the article!
Ahh these were a close call. If I had an 'honourable mentions' list, they certainly would have made it on there.
It was a close call, but in the end I decided to leave Wind Waker off the list. Fantastic game though!
I haven't given this one a go but I wonder if I'm of that vintage you refer to? Is it really worth my time anyone?
With respect, the author's intention isn't to command you to back this game. Rather he's imploring the reader to check out the Kickstarter before it's too late to back it.
And, quite frankly, it's pretty deplorable that you would want someone's passionate Kickstarter project to fail just because of that.
Just out of curiousity, what makes you take that approach? I may be a bit biased here but I think that mobile games can offer experiences on par with any AAA console title :)
I'm really keen for this to be funded. It has the feel of Hyper Light Drifter combined with the rogue like game Isle of Bxnes. Lots of potential, let's just hope they deliver!
I agree with your logic up to a certain point. It seems like you're pretty knowledgable about how to put together a custom PC. But what about people who don't know how/can't be bothered etc. Do you think it would be a waste of money in that case?
But I'm with you. I simply run a HDMI cable from my PC to TV and that's fine by me.
Do you have a gaming PC as well? Or did you buy a Steam Machine because you don't have one? I'm curious as to why you went out to buy one in the first place. Not knocking your decision at all, but just interested to see what appealed to you about them.
All excellent points Nick. I guess my issue is the near-unjustified hatred before the game even released. A game can stand or fall on its merits once it is out in the wild. Review scores across the board will generally show that, as they have with The Order. But for people to actively campaign against a game before its even in their hands is another issue entirely.
