I definitely think ratings boards are going to have to give serious consideration about how VR games fit in to the current schemes. And, whatever their decision, it's going to be controversial. Who can say what greater impact a VR game has on someone as opposed to a regular game?
They certainly already have a lot on their plate. As it was, it took wayyyy too long for Ep 3 of Tales from the Borderlands to come out. But I'd be really keen for a Dune adaptation.
It's a pretty scary thought, but yeah I guess it's possible. Nice write up.
Hello opinions, how are you?
Haha that too Godmars290. We could speculate till the cows come home. But in any case I don't care because... Final Fantasy VII Remake!!! :P
Haha I can totally see that. That has to be close to one of my favourite movies of all time! Loved Leslie Nielsen so much.
I guess it depends on your perspective. If the goal of an E3 reveal is for that game to be released in the next year, then no I don't think it is good enough. If you take a longer time frame, then it's not necessarily a bad thing.
However, I do tend to agree that games are being revealed wayyyy too long in advance.
Did they lose talent? Or just sell out to the F2P model? What happened?
For me, it is the engrossing experience that games offer up. Whether it's immersing myself in a world like The Witcher 3 or even playing a simple game like You Must Build A Boat, games offer such a rich interactive experience.
Sometimes my love for that community wavers after the never ending fanboy wars....
Thanks mate, that was helpful. Bubble up! Ditto to you dark king.
That's a pretty bold prediction. I wonder if this should be a rumour article instead O.o. In any case, I thought the dev had clearly stated this is a "PC exclusive". Now, I completely appreciate those words don't have the same meaning they once had. But I'm not totally convinced about this article's prediction. But don't get me wrong - I would love to see XCOM 2 come to mobile and consoles. The more people that get to play it, the better!
Wow, I wonder what sort of critical files they take? Are they talking about critical files relating to the game they are playing? Or other files on their system like financial stuff? In any case, that's a pretty scary statistic.
Haha yeah, it's not like they have massive expectations on them....Very keen to see what they come up with.
Opening a can of worms with this article :) Honestly, I think the idea of content creators being reimbursed for their work is utterly the correct approach. I am sympathetic towards Valve allowing the inclusion of a 'Donate' button on a mod's page rather than forcing people to pay for content though.
Salty much? I see why you only have one bubble..
But let's respond to your generalisations:
To your first paragraph, the business reason behind Assault Android Cactus not coming to Xbox (at least at launch) seems to be because of Microsoft's parity clause according to an article from Eurogamer. The article is called "Microsoft's id xbox policy means this indie twin stick shooter can't launch on xbox one".
The merits ...
Ahhh and the console wars continue to burn as bright as the day.
Honestly, this is such a stupid move. They're just shooting themselves in the foot by not tapping into a potential player base of millions. They're bringing their games to a console like the Wii U and Vita, but not the Xbox. Really? As relatively small indies can you honestly justify that sort of business decision?
Well that just means they won't be getting my money, even though I ow...
SMG Studio has a pretty awesome track record with OTTD and One More Line. They're really on fire at the moment. Keep up the great work!
Mainstream society already think we spend too much playing games. Imagine the field day they're going to have with this :)
That is one thing I noticed too. Trying to take screenshots to put in the article was interesting. All this empty black space at the top and bottom, and then just a narrow window for the game in the middle.
