Oh man, not another one! I'm going to get addicted all over again!?!
I'm not sure what it is about Double Fine's games, but I find it really difficult to warm to them. They have such a unique art style and, for whatever reason, it puts me off. I tried Stacking a few years ago and just couldn't finish it. I've also started Act One of Broken Age but also gave it up after awhile. Maybe I'll try again.
Pretty opportunisitic
Good call One Shot. I wrote this article and initially had a list of 20 games, but decided to trim it to 15. In my 20 was dream fall chapters, leisure suit Larry reloaded and a few others.
I love that he is putting his money where his mouth is. Obviously has a lot of passion. Just backed it at the $10 level!
I absolutely love the idea behind this game. Not that I often have 3 other people around to co op with me... But still!
Hmm I think it depends on the type of model publishers go for. A company like Activision have said they only focus on a few very big titles, like COD and Destiny.
However (and this may not be the best example), a publisher like THQ went for a lot of medium sized games - Darksiders, Saints Row etc. Now we all know what happened to them... But my point is a publisher's strategy might be to pick up a number of series that won't rake in COD dollars, but do bring home the...
Not a bad list. Can't say I've played Bertram Fiddle though.
I might have added a few extra games - The Blackwell series from Wadjet Eye Games (instead of Gemini Rue), The Wolf Among Us, Machinarium, Monkey Island series... well the list could go on and on :)
I've honestly never heard of this. But hey for the price of free, I'm in.
Just from a practical perspective, I don't see how it will work well. Holding my wrist up to play a game or taking my watch off doesn't appeal to me. I'll stick with my other portable gaming devices thank you very much.
I'm really skeptical about this whole push for gaming on the Apple Watch. Since most people already own smart phones, handheld consoles and/or tablets - which they're likely going to be carrying on them at all times - there's not a massive case for gaming on a Watch. By all means buy an Apple Watch, but it shouldn't be considered a gaming device.
Although this is incredibly dubious, I sadly could see stuff like this happening in the future.
Haha it seems like it was a tongue-in-cheek question from the interviewer. But it's still an interesting thought. I wonder how far ahead developers and publishers plan ahead for their franchise. Where does a franchise like Call of Duty want to be even in 10 or 20 years let alone 300?
Too right. This can only benefit the industry. I wonder what games we'll see come out that we may not have otherwise.
Microsoft are really stepping up their campaign to be that one piece of hardware in our living rooms for entertainment. Personally, I'm enjoying Stan at the moment so migh give this one a pass.
Haha oh man and this is just the beginning. Can't wait to see what games we can experience like this in the future.
It would be a travesty if this doesn't get funded. What an incredible looking game.
I've heard some pretty fantastic things about duet but never tried it out. Well I guess I have no excuse now!
Totally agree. What is wrong with the indie label? It's something to be worn with pride rather than distancing themselves from it.
Awesome. This wasn't even on my radar, so it's cool to hear about it. Top review.
