Agreed. TH wasn't the best game I've ever played, but it wasn't horrible either.
And yes, Dennis Dyack constantly running his mouth about the game built more hype than the game deserved. If they make a sequel, the first thing Silicon Knights needs to do is duct-tape his mouth shut.

Fable 2 won GOTY from a few sites/publications, most notably (and notoriously) from X-Play. Some places didn't award it with overall GOTY, but did give it RPGOTY awards.
So from some perspectives, it was a GOTY.
Give it another try...the first hour or two is tough to get through, but once you start recruiting other Heroes, it gets better.
