I'm surprised n...
...ONE analyst.
That's...not bad. But I was expecting more. Still, for just nine days, it's not horrible. Maybe word of mouth will lead to sustained sales.
A possibility, but let's not count sales (or lack of) too soon.
There's still the question of whether there will be a PS3 price drop before the end of the year...but that may be offset by a 360 drop as well (or some other kind of response, like the emergence of Natal).
We'll see. Too early to tell.
But the trends are definitely in the 360's favor at this moment.
Good to see Infamous maintaining solid sales...after a handful of sudden dropoffs for major PS3 games, nice to see one stick around for more than one month.
Top two games are on the 360, for a total of four in the top ten. Is Nintendo's dominance at the very top of the charts (Wii Fit/Wii Play/Mario Kart) over? I expect the 360 version of NCAA Football to end up topping the charts next month...but Wii Sports Resort is out at the end of July, so that may put Nintendo back on top s...
Great to hear from them again, since it's the closest thing we'll get to an actual Firefly reunion...*sigh*
Um, it's in New Orleans...a center of black culture and pride in the South.
So which is more racist: Having black zombies in a city that is predominantly black, or IGNORING the local population and not having any black zombies at all?
*facepalm*
For someone who doesn't play racing games, I am seriously stoked by this title. Maybe this is the one that wins me over.
I think I speak for many people when I say:
*%?^#&#@*&^#$@*&^ #*!!!!!!!
What I really want to say won't make it past the content filter...so you'll have to use you imaginations. I'm sure you can. :)
Well, I guess it means I'll have a little more money to spend on other games this fall.
But it sucks nonetheless.
...seriously?
What's next?
"Grand Theft Auto made me hire that hooker."
"Gears of War made me chainsaw my neighbor."
"Final Fantasy VII made me skewer an innocent girl."
And so on.
2.3 million. Two days.
There are some great, best-selling games that haven't sold that much in their entire lifetimes.
Wow.
A few good points mixed in with the random profanity...but we should all remember that "diarrhea of the mouth" affects a LOT of corporate people, and not just the ones at Sony.
I recall MS people denying the pervasive problem of the RRoD and making statements like "HDMI is not necessary." As a 360 owner, I cringed at many of those statements.
There is some validity to his claims that Sony execs have a tendency to make awe-inspiringly clueless st...
It's kinds like the Hulk Vs. Thor...Imagine the amount of destruction Chief and Samus would leave in their wake...
Perhaps the tech is further along than what we saw at E3, and that presentation was just the "basics" of its performance.
BUT, as much as I'd like to have this for Christmas, I agree with GWAVE: Make sure it is functioning properly and fully developed before release.
I still think some kind of 360 bundle is the likely way they'll launch it.
That is good news. Still play MechAssault from time to time and have been wanting another good mech game for a while.
Big robots + mayhem and destruction = awesome.
Just make it reliable. That's all I ask.
Oh, the bragging rights have their uses...I work with about a dozen other people who have Live, and I have almost as many points as all of them put together...something I remind them of occasionally. :)
Back on topic: I've finished 50 games, and I'd like to have something to show for it. Maybe 100 MS points for a completed game, or 1000 free points for every 10K in score, or something else.
It would actually make sense for MS to do something like that...if you offer...
Avatar awards for gaming achievements aren't a bad idea, and I'm glad something new is coming for avatars...
...but I'd rather have something else as a reward, such as MS points or free games. I've accumulated nearly 58K in gamerscore, and other than bragging rights, I have nothing to show for it.
...and since, gaming hasn't been the same.
Halo FTW.
