Metal Arms was a pretty underrated game...other than some issues with screen tearing, it was a very solid shooter for the Xbox. I still have my copy, and it still gets occasional use in my 360.
All I ask of MS at this point, is that they either make Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath backwards-compatible, or add it to the Originals list. It's the only original Xbox title I have that I can't play, and it's one of my all-time favorites for any console.
You and me both, brother. Wish I hadn't sold my copy.
This just in:
"Gamers not satisfied with EA and their 2007 products."
Great avatar. Spanky Ham FTW!
Right now, I'm torn: Do I go ahead and buy a Blu-Ray player when my tax return comes, or do I wait and hope MS puts out a 360 peripheral that will likely be less expensive?
And their reasoning behind the Elite shortages makes sense: What if it's due to a new Elite with some great new features like built-in Wifi and a massive hard-drive?
Watched the whole game, and with Tivo,I didn't miss anything when I went for a refill, bathroom break, etc...and I never saw an HD-DVD commercial. I think maybe they realized that at this point, it would be a wasted effort.
(BTW, one of the best Super Bowl games I've ever seen.)
Can't resist:

I like achievements...since I don't do crack, they're the next best thing. :)
13,655 as of this post.
It arrived at my store last Thursday, and since it had no listed street date, we put it on the shelves. Sales have been solid so far. I guess that people want something new to play now that they've probably finished their Christmas games.
A PS3 GH line was inevitable--they had them for PS1 and PS2, and they offer good games at a reasonable price.
So that's the next question: What price? MS had most of their 360 Platinum Hits for $29.99, with a few family-oriented titles at $20. Will Sony try to follow the $30 price point, or will they shoot for the impulse-buy price of $19.99?
Don't forget Heavenly Sword.
L...O...freakin'...L!!!
And the stuff on the ticker was just as funny!
World of Warcraft says otherwise.
Yes, PC gaming isn't as popular as it was just a few years ago, but it isn't going to be killed off by consoles any time soon. Some things--like RTS and certain RPGs--are best suited for the PC...unless consoles figure out how to do them as well, or better.
Six weeks.
That's how long it's been since my Best Buy store--the largest in the metro area--has seen a single Elite. The Pros are hard to come by, too, but we've seen semi-regular shipments of those.
One theory: Someone once told me that the Elite's interior design was based on the Zephyr set, and not the Falcon; in other words, it didn't yet have the 65nm processor like the other units. Maybe the shortage is due to MS switching the Elites over to the Falcon?

More Portal?

Just make sure GLADOS sings again.
Well, the Rock Band microphones that arrived at my store LAST WEEK were labeled for 360, PS3, and...Wii. Cat's out of the bag.
I smell a big seller. GH3 has been very solid on the Wii, and this should appeal to the same crowd.
Proof?
90% is a HUGE number.
I mean, the DS is mostly purchased by casual gamers, kids, moms, and a growing number of older folks (for Brain Age-type games primarily). Those aren't really the types of people who usually pirate games.
Sounds like he pulled that number out of his nether regions.
Golden Sun is perfectly suited for the DS. Make it happen!
Killer Instinct: Let's see a XBLA release of the original, followed by an all-new version.
Personally, I wouldn't mind a Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 3. Number two just left us hanging. And I may be alone in this, but I's like to see another Kameo game.
From personal experience: My 360 controllers seem to go through a set of double-A's or a single charge from the Play and Charge kits in about 30 hours or so. I have a charge kit for each controller, with a spare set of Energizer Max batteries on hand, just in case.
For those on the fence: Play and Charge kits pay for themselves in a matter of a weeks, especially if you're a more hardcore gamer.
$119.99 at my Best Buy store. Good for upconversion, I suppose.
