if someone wanted to play your vita with their account they could though... theres just about no storage space on the vita without memory cards so a factory reset becomes trivial.
you'll have almost nothing saved on the vita so in resetting to factory settings you'll loose almost nothing

the psp can only run them because it was coded into the psp, same with the iphone/android.
btw, its more difficult for sony to release a ps1 platform inside of their devices because customers expect a higher quality from sony in this regard. the psp emulator had to undergo extensive testing to make sure it would run the full library of games, while the phone emulators are tested with like 20 games and released, then get hotfixes as users give feedback on games that arent work...

mmos that cant make profit as a pay to play go free to play. this game has never been free to play, rather the trial period that you got with the game has been extended for a year.
final fantasy xi is still pay to play after more than ten years, and the producers and director have said that after ten years this game will also be using the subscription model.

if people dont buy when its first launched it gets discontinued. companies usually subsidize early platform sales so theyre loosing money by selling you a console.
there may be negatives to being an early adopter, but without early adopters, there would be no console gaming industry, the whole gaming industry would probably be much smaller.

when publishers can sell their new copies at a price that competes with used copies i will happily buy new copies, until then ill save myself $20.
i look at it like its a free market, the person with the lower price gets the sales. if publishers wanted to, they could wreck used game sales by dropping the price of their games, but they choose, instead, to leave the price high.
