"industry wide" in the sense that everyone in the industry (no one else, it was just microsoft) stupid enough to let people do this had this problem
its a lie lol, look at the quotes "im on the fence about it" ya, sure you are, developer.
such a saying would make no sense to japanese speaking developers.
this guys just making shit up for hits
the publishers or developers that decide to switch platforms all the time are crazy annoying, im not going to buy a platform for one game, its not going to happen, they need to pick a platform and stick with it because the way they move from platform to platform is beyond annoying.
i stopped buying tales games because they were moving around to much, now it finally seems theyre getting back to playstation and ill be buying another tales game. its been a long time
i just wanted to make note that the ad is looking for gameplay/ai programmer, which will actually be a mediocre ai programmer who also does other things. when you're looking for good ai you hire an ai programmer, not a gameplay/ai programmer.
ai programmer is a field of study in itself, and if you want good ai you get someone whos good at ai and have them only working on the ai.
the ai guy finds interesting ways to make better ai and then tells the gamepl...
the xenosaga series would be great, i wonder if nintendo can stop it because monolith soft is now one of their subsidiaries.
can namco bring it over to psn without the original developers?
what i dont like about valkyria chronicles and disgaea is the simplified battle system, final fantasy tactics and arc the lad did it right, no team turns, each character gets a turn.
thats not to say that theyre bad games, just that the battle system they use is too simplified
i very much enjoyed the ff4 ds remake
psn blitzball sounds amazing
in the same article the guy can tell customers that manners cost nothing, then go on to explain that he will be an asshole if he gets the wrong impression from you when you walk in and he asks you a question.
c'monnn man, you start off with number 1 telling us that your job is to ask a question, well sure, thats part of it, but more importantly, your job is to make people want to come back to that store, yet you have no problem acting like a dick if you get the wrong impr...
let me clear something up, the network limitations are a hardware limitation, not a software limitation, for instance, at&t is in the US and forced to use GSM networks, japan uses PCD networks. theyre not interchangeable, and having a quadbandcard would just not be fiscally responsible for sony to do.
thus you have the limitation of the networks.
only xbox facilities felt like they were being treated bad enough that they needed to take action, so only microsoft needs to make a statement.
once sony, nintnedo or apple foxconn factories start taking action then they'll be the ones who need to make a statement. youre making assumptions, maybe if a company pays a bit more then their factories have better working conditions, maybe sony, nintendo and apple are all paying that little extra and microsoft doesnt - which cau...
i disagree with this quite a bit, squall is one of my favorites and a lot of the others arent really bad either.
and no hope? god damn, i think he was the only character that i wanted to throw off a cliff so far
crazy misleading title, super meat boy will never be on ps3, they didnt mention anything about the game theyre working on now not being on ps3
@dark-hallow and if you include the intellectual property?
unless nintendo can get some fantastic launch titles for the wiiu i doubt that it'll have much of an impact on either x360 or ps3 this year, it'll be launching and probably at a steep price if they hope to have a better set of hardware than the ps3. btw, the wiiu will likely have a Q4 launch, which wont bother the ps3 much, rather it would kill the x360 sales. playstation depends the least on Q4 sales out of all the other consoles. without Q4 sales ps3 would still be strong, if the x3...
why buy a x360 for multiplats? ps3 does those and exclusives
if youre going to spend $200 on a console might as well get the one that also has exclusives, not to mention you save money with the free online...those exclusives buy themselves lol, kinda like a free game every year, compliments of having a ps3
@inthelab (sorry, no more bubbles!)
i agree, i think advertising is a big part of it, its too bad that microsft has decided to spend like half a billi...
[not sure how x360s keep selling]
it'll end up costing them $200 + the game, almost no one in japan has an x360
even if they paid $100 for people in japan to take the game, most would still have to pay at least $100 to play it
final fantasy tactics was my first SRPG, its also my favorite to date. theres one thing that always sets me back about SRPGs and thats that they seem to always have one whole team move every character they have and then have the whole other team move every character they have.
i liked how final fantasy tactics has every character getting a turn, not teams of characters, makes the battles have much more depth. does anyone else agree with me? lol
sonys prices leaked... in the mass email they sent out.
also, these sales have been on bestbuy.com for like 2 days now, they've been sold out on a lot of stuff since yesterday
BoF is a capcom game, suikoden is a konami game, wild arms is a sony game
namco-bandai cant really just make those games, they can make tales games though. they can also make other rpg games, and if they decide to ill be happy about it
