Who knows, there are probably several reasons. The main reason is probably that they didn't like that the game was delayed and not as good looking a the original E3 showing. Either way, I'm still having fun with it, it's still a really good looking game for being open world (I esp the water/rain for some reason) and it's fun in my opinion. I like it.
I love my X1, maybe I just better understood what it's identity was from the beginning, and the changes that have been made were things that didn't upset me either way, but I appreciate that those changes make it easier for others to join the fold....so Identity change? Ok, as long as it helps gamers, I can't see it as a bad thing.
Racing games for the most part aren't my thing personally, but I did love the first two "Dirt" games, and Mario Kart is fun at times, however, I know the Forza franchise is very successful. What is interesting to me about this, is that the initial E3 MS leak seems to all be coming true so far....I'll admit, that maybe since I'm not a huge racing game fan, that I just missed the signs that this game was coming, but the first I heard about it was on that leak blog...howev...

This kind of thing gives me no hope for the human race, it's hard to believe that some of these people will have a right to vote. Both consoles output every game in 1080p whether or not it's native doesn't matter to the screen at all. It will treat X1 and PS4 equally. That being said, I'll stick with my 55" Samsung

In all seriousness, I can't tell if he's being sarcastic or not. A network update is something that Sony/PS4 (and all other consoles) need to do consistently. However, unless they are announcing a MASSIVE amount of dedicated servers and/or data centers...this isn't worthy of "most exciting week" type titles. I'm pretty sure there is a hint of sarcasm in this, but I'm not sure.
All this talk is WAY above my head, but it does seem to follow a constant pattern. Devs that know how to properly use it and see the potential in it praise it, while those that don't want to be bothered with planning for eSRAM blame it as the reason for issues. It's almost like eSRAM is the pivot point as to whether X1 is weak or extremely powerful.

They are just setting up to announce that because of the delay in Steam Boxes, DX12 making porting easier, etc that Every XB1 will essentially become a Steam Box, meaning that all games on steam including future Half Lifes will be playable on X1...you heard it here first!!! (disclaimer, I have NO knowledge this is true, just a BS rumor at this point based on nothing).

Of course this is just an opinion thing, there is really no right or wrong answer. IMO yes, it's definitely worth buying. I was a day one purchase, and I've loved it the whole time, no regrets. This may be slightly too presumptuous at this point. True, it may ultimately fail, I don't have some crystal ball to know either way. However, there are roughly 4.5-5 Mil XB1 owners so far that have it, and of those that do, that vast majority like it...even if they never use it for gaming. Hmm, well that sucks. I wonder if getting the X1 Dev kit so late was one of the reasons that it's at a lower resolution. Sounds like they had two PS4 dev kits for a longer time, and a bit later were able to get an X1 kit.

The only real problem that I have with this game so far (other than my gamer OCD making me do all the side mission stuff first) is that there is no setting that you can just keep it raining all the time. The rain and water effects in this game are awesome.
Remedy is a rather amazing company, but they can't delay a game that didn't have an announced release date/window. If Remedy themselves say it's delayed that's one thing...
That being said, like with all other "delayed" games, as long as that time is put to good use and makes the game a better experience, then I'm for it.

I'm excited about E3 overall, but at the same time I'm torn between wanting to know everything now and pulling away so that it all remains a surprise at E3. Part of me would like to not know any more spoilers...
E3 in theaters? I guess that could be a really good idea. I can see that being appealing to a large fanbase...that way you can see the games in a large detailed view. As of right now it's not really my thing, I like being next to a computer for E3 just so I can do internet searches and watch videos again at my own pace...but anyone seeing it at a theater can also do that later when they get home...

Don't get me wrong, but it's good to temper your expectations instead of building them up beyond belief, but just cause his "friend" works at EA...doing who knows what... doesn't mean that this is even what he really meant.
