It looked great either way

The level of miinformation on this page is mind-boggling. Yet ironically, the ones trying to claim that others have been "dupped" seem to be the ones that were most confused. Not to mention that MS and Respawn have both explained in the past that the term "cloud" has several different meanings across the industry. MS's cloud is not the same as Sony's or Amazon, etc. It really just refers to a computer/server that you have offloaded something to. It just so happ...

....a reason to have one this year if you didn't already have one and couldn't afford both X1 and PS4

I'm actually shocked too...the game looks awesome. I already have it pre-ordered.

@NewMonday...you realize it took them 30 extra minutes to show 2 extra minutes of games right? I'm not sure that is the bragging point you're thinking it is.

Either way...this is an article about X1 fixing ITSELF, we don't need all this fanboy war nonsense here...not EVERYTHING has to be about PS4 vs X1 and who is "better"...just let it go...play games. The constant trolling and junk has gone on long enough...now it just looks really insecure to do cra...

I get that you're not trying to be a fanboy or anything, but you do realize that this article is about a tech demo right? So it's a bit more than just on paper..

“In their demo, they showed two major improvements over DirectX 11 – a 50% improvement in CPU utilization, and better distribution of work among threads.”

...and it's still more than a year off, so it has the potential to get even better.

I'm skeptical that it will be the cloud demo tomorrow, would be sweet to see I guess, I but my feeling is that, that demo is a ways off still. Either way this is an interesting read. I'm not sure that anyone would be dumb enough to argue that the PS4 has the power advantage(esp without using ESRAM to it's full potential). However, everytime I read these articles it just makes it seem like the power gap isn't nearly as large as it first appears on paper. It just becomes mor...

I actually really liked the last Tomb Raider, and eventhough a lot of people disagree with me, I even liked it more than TLoU (I played both around the same time). TR had much better gameplay, but TLoU had a better story. However, both wasted their time on MP IMO. I would agree with everything they listed in this article, but I don't care about the MP aspect for this game...maybe they could do something great...but I'd prefer more SP with much more varied tombs and such. I liked t...

Of course graphics and such matter to a degree. As long as they are good enough to keep you into the game and not take you out, they are important. The conflict comes because of the fact that we've gotten the point that ALL games look so great that arguing over the differences isn't important (well not really). Very rarely can we even notice a difference when playing them side by side, and if we do, it' never a big deal...and there are other aspects to gaming that make up for i...

The game looks great, and more importantly looks like tons of fun. Until they told us today, no one would have guessed that it was 900p/30fps ..so let's go ahead and stop acting like it's a huge deal. Yes, Res and Framrate are important, but only to the degree that if it makes a game look bad or takes you out of the game. This game has neither of those problems, and actually looks amazing. If they told me it was 1080p (native) and 60fps...I'd probably believe them.

No...well...not really. I think the idea/question is flawed. It assumes that all the players that got a PS4 this gen that didn't get a PS3 last gen A) got a console at all B) Will ONLY get a PS4 this whole gen and never pick up the others as well, and C) It doesn't focus at all on gamers that went the other way (which most likely is smaller). Most casual gamers went PS4 instead of Xbox/Wii U this gen instead of last gen due to price point. Casual gamers don't care about hardw...

It really is some awesome tech, I wish more people embraced it instead of just dismissing it. I personally don't really game with it, I've tried and it works really well, but I love holding a controller. However, to me and many others I know that have one, it's still great to have even if you NEVER game with it. It's great for twitch, skype, voice commands, UI navigation, accessory-type uses in games, I can see it playing a future roll in AR/VR/Illumniroom-type techs. It r...

I won't down vote you because I see what you are trying to say....but at the same time it's not completely accurate. They did talk about the extra power in the sense that Destiny announced that it would be 1080p instead of 900p now due to the extra access to GPU, they did talk about Kinect on the floor (D4 previews are actually saying good things...eventhough now you don't HAVE to play it with Kinect)...they did talk about Fantasia and Dance...and Ubisoft actually used Kinect on ...

I'm not sure it's that cut and dry. I wouldn't say that Sony fans always wanted an Xbox in their playstation...however I would say that this proves that Sony Fanboys (not Sony fans...there is a difference) will jump on board with whatever Sony does, while criticizing MS for doing the exact same thing. This is how Fanboyism in general works. I have a hard time believing any true gamer would be against having entertainment elements in their console if it didn't kill the idea ...

While its true, and EVERYONE has admitted (even MS) that the weakest link is user connection, and that this sort of service will take time to grow to it's full potential...how about being a little hopeful? Why does everyone have to be so negative about this...but ONLY against MS? In tech demos it works perfectly...BETTER than claimed actually, with the BUILD demo showing it bricking one computer (assumed to be stronger than X1) and the other computer using cloud performing 16xs better. ...

Innovation? Sorry Sony, you're a great gaming company, but nothing you did was innovative in any way. VR has been done (not to mention if previews are to believed at his point Occulus is a much better VR, and you're rushing your product just a little too much...slow down a tad and perfect it first), TV has been done, Uncharted has been done, Demon Souls has been done, Gears of Order has been done (sorry that's funny, the game looks great, but it's not "new"), Grim ...
