They are...I was getting worried at first, no lie. I felt that Bungie was getting stale with Halo at the end, but felt that it could have been due to the fact that they knew it came to an end (which is why I think it's cool that they left so many open doors at the end of Halo 3). However, it turned out to be the best thing ever. Now we have Halo with new life, and better than ever in my opinion...AND now we have Bungie re-energized and refreshed putting out Destiny...it's a win-win...
It's looking sweet...and I'm not even typically a racing fan...but this and Crew (and even the untitled Criteron game) have me interested. I've always liked the Dirt series, cause I like the offroad aspect to racing...and not simply just driving in circles. Less...simulator, more arcade is my style.
I'm super excited for this game....
It's actually not even a "graphics" fixation. It's simply a resolution fixation. Resolution is just one aspect of graphics, and by itself it's the least important aspect (esp since all games will be scaled to display at 1080p (not always native...but still...).
If games actually looked bad..this would be an issue, but so far this gen there hasn't even been a single game that looks even remotely bad.
@ghost...fair enough...I haven&...
I remember playing these games back in the day. I loved Grim Fandango and Full Throttle...I'm actually replaying through Fate of Atlantis right now actually. I'd love to see a reboot of all of these. (And the Monkey Islands ported to next gen consoles).
I didn't need an Alpha to be old on this game...I just knew when I first saw it that I would be buying it...which doesn't always happen...I'm usually pretty skeptical about games at first.
I have to agree, I know I'll get accused of being a fanboy or trolling, but seriously...looking at that list there isn't a single one I'm interested in except maybe Planetside 2...and that's actually on PC anyway. Most of those games I had to look up cause I had never heard of...I don't see much promise in most of them, but it probably wouldn't matter cause I am already gonna be so busy with so many other games, I doubt any of these would be more pressing than the gam...
I don't get why this is getting compared to Naughty Dog. They are an excellent developer, but nothing in this article is anything that is exclusive to Naughty Dog. Just seems weird really...not good or bad, but I would never look at this game and think of Naughty Dog in any way.
Yeah it was a tough month for X1 no doubt, from early May to early June...and even then it may be till MCC or something till MS starts seeing a big jump...who knows? Honestly, it really isn't surprising.
I am happy to see Wii doing very well though, and yes you're right MS is doing very well in software sales. It's actually pretty good hardware wise for people that know that the system is about to release without Kinect, (and before E3) but they bought it anywa...
Not really...EVERYONE has been saying this same thing. The only people saying otherwise is really just PS fanboys trying to build a strawman argument...and a few Xbox Fanboys...other than that everyone else was being much more realistic. Please stop making up arguments to try and make others look stupid for things they haven't said.
Everytime DX12 comes up we are reminded that X1 already has a low level API...we all know this, and the advantage will be more about tools ...
As long as they are a natural fit, and not just put in for "political" reasons this is a great thing.
If you're at a fork in the road between better gameplay and just simply resolution....choose the gameplay/ characters/particle effects every time. This game already looks great, if when all is said and done, sure give it a res boost if it doesn't take away from anything, but it appears insomniac has the right idea. They knew the game already looked great (in fact until they said something I would have guessed it was 1080p), so add characters and other elements to the game. The new ...
I think this title means "not in a hurry to follow Oculus" (even Oculus isn't the first company to try this, but at the level we are at...not to mention, it seems to be the better of the two). For this in particular, I actually prefer the Nin/Ms approach over the Oc/Sony approach. Keep working on it and refining it, but release when it's right. Latency issues will ruin this kinda of experience and make it nothing more than a gimmick since no one will want to play for more...
Disappointment...hell no...if anything the exact opposite. We'll get our Halo fill this year, and probably still be playing that (cause it's HUGE) till Halo 5 comes out. This way they can work on Halo 5 longer and make sure it's done right. The only thing I'm disappointed about is how empty my wallet is gonna be for at least the next year and a half.
I'm sure that everyone knew that May was gonna be a tough month for X1 console sales. However, it's great to see that Wii U is doing a TON better, that's awesome. I just have to laugh at one thing....it was too funny to pass up. Sony says that the May NPD shows that it's the best place to play innovative IPs...then lists Watch Dogs and Wolfenstein...two multiplats... I'm not sure you guys can take credit for those two titles.
They already confirmed that it is..now I admit I don't know if that's ALL of that content, but they did say it was timed.
Honestly this DLC isn't enough to make me get it for PS4 even if it wasn't timed. It's an online game, I'll play it on XBL...esp since I'm out of town and can't play the ALpha, but hearing that there are super long wait times to play a match. (could just be an Alpha issue..)
No matter what, this game in ge...
This game looks amazing visually, based on the little we have seen, the gameplay doesn't look groud breaking...and based on closed door previews..there have been viewers that came back and said that it was the most linear game they had ever seen.
THAT BEING SAID...there have been several times when a reviewer said something about a game and I disagreed both ways...for and against. SO take those with a grain of salt. The first closed door demo got a lot of negative feedb...
I have NO DOUBT that this game will be awesome and that I'll love every minute of it. I know this title is meant to just display the excitement for the game...which is most likely well deserved. I didn't get a chance to play the Alpha cause it just so happens I've been out of town for the last two weeks, but I'm sure that based on the feedback it will be fun...however I KNOW this will not be the last shooter I ever play.
@Akira You have very legit concerns...
...and MS moves in.
No one should be surprised that this time period was gonna be rough for X1...anyone paying attention should have known ahead of time.
However, let's take a snap shot of this page real quick. Everytime VGChartz gets posted on here...it's flooded with "fake numbers" "VGChartz needs to be banned" and all that mess...now that it makes PS4 look really good Vs. X1...out comes the trashtalk and VgChartz is taking over the headline banner....well done gu...
