I would say it's more that Edge and other magazines are spineless when it comes to reviews - they rely on adverts for publishing. MS, EA, Ubi are renowned for advertising their games, so no good review? no adverts.
Not biased.
I personally don't care about average scores. But when magazines like Edge give Halo 3 a perfect score despite minor improvements, and then get offended when questioned about it, I get a little sceptical.
Thanks Edge, for keeping impartial and level-headed when reviewing your games. Can't help but think adding a h,a,l and o to the tile may have gotten them 7/7 for a PS3 game...
3 Trolls.
1 Analyst that just pulls predictions out of his arse.
Is anybody doing to actually read this? And if so, do they care how much Tekken sold compared to Ben 10?
What's wrong with Tetris on any platform?
Are you so poor you have to make a life or death decision over $5-10?
'Might want to reconsider hobbies, if so.
@ps3ftwin
Old doesn't mean free.
Fairly certain Tetris will be around longer than Persona 4, or any other JRPG. Even FFVII hasn't got a chance of catching up.
"Why do the top 10 best games on a console have to be exclusives?"
Because chances are, the people who have a 360 already own most of these. Making these lists meaningless, unless it's for those who don't already know how awesome the games are.
I don't own a 360, and I'd love to if I could find enough games. Sorry, but that means exclusives. I'm not buying a 360 play a bunch of games already on PS3 (however marginally better they may be on either platform).
If there isn't at least a discount for those who bought the Minis version - I will be pissed!
Every other Mini works just fine on the PS3, with minimal effort to make them compatible.
Thanks for missing the point entirely.
If you were not aware, Alexey Pajitnov, the creator of Tetris did not make any money from it until 1996, thanks to Russian Copyright laws. I figured I owed the guy that's responsible for most of the abuse my Gameboy went through.
I paid for it on Minis, and to my mind it's the best version since the GB, because it doesn't have all the little innovations that other companies have decided to force onto the game.
When ...
Why not make that compatible with the PS3 (like all the other bloody Minis) and let people decide which they like better?
In other words... WHY DO I HAVE TO BUY THE SAME GAME TWICE?
But after the Adverts While it Loads crap, not unexpected?
Grown-ups shouldn't care how they play their games, and not judge others for playing them on another platform.
As an owner of a PS3 and a Wii, I'm always looking for reasons to buy a 360... I look to lists like this because they might just give me an insight into the underrated games on 360.
I've played and loved 4 of the other games on that list on my PS3, so why should I buy a 360 to play just 4 more of the Top Ten best games on the platform?
It would be nice if they went to some efforts with these lists to at least tell us about some of the lesser known "only on 360&q...
"There games are extremely average."
But better than your grammar, and your research skills, going by Metacritic.
Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Sucker Punch, Guerilla - They all work together; share code and advice to make great games.
Why more devs can't do this, subscribe to these same core services, and try and lone wolf it is beyond me. For the price of being included in the pow-wow, Terminal Reality, Platinum Games could have been spared a lot of blushes for their dismal PS3 ports.
This would feature quite nicely in a Top 5 reasons why Gaming Journalism sucks.
He's not wrong (or right) in his views, but that he thought his opinion merits publication for all to see is ludicrous.
Thanks Graffin, for also thinking the author's work was worth reading.
That's Sony's way of saying "if you can't do it properly, we'll do it for you".
The Wii is easier to get into... but the question is: Are you trying to get her addicted to Wii Sports? Or L4D?
Try and pay attention... I paid for Tetris Minis. Minis Became availiable on PS3. Tetris is getting it's own version. That's what's known as a d!ck-move.
I probably won't get it, but it would be nice if Tetris Minis followed the same path as every other Mini. It is the same game.
Re: "So now I am supposed to maintain old media with me from 20 years back?"
That's not their problem. If anything it's an argument for Digital Distribution. Most countri...
